I would say it depends on the lights you use to determine how much diffusion the channel is actually doing. However it works just perfectly fine for me. It was pretty hard to cut to size for a couple channels just make sure you have the right kind of tools laying around cause its some pretty thick metal. Overall, it holds my LEDs and I've had no issues so far, just be sure to practice on how to install them and practice putting the plastic over the metal a few times before actually putting it up there

Just what I needed

I used these to install LED strips in my office and I love the modern look.

I have a few complaints, so I am docking two stars:

1. They do not include nearly enough mounting clips with this kit
2. They do not have joiner clips to ensure 100% perfect alignment when these are butted together. I could go to the hardware store and find dowels to insert into the holes in the molding, or maybe design and 3D print some alignment clips, but geez... these should be included with the kit, FFS
3. I wish they diffused light a little better; while this is better than most LED strip mounting solutions, it is not perfect. A nice frosted diffuser layer behind the transluscent cover would be perfect as it would allow better diffusion of the light, not entirely like the diffuser layer in an LCD/"LED" screen.
4. Did I mention they didn't include nearly enough strips?

I'm docking two stars because of the lack of alignment dowels/pins/studs, plus in case I haven't mentioned it, they do not include nearly enough mounting clips. They include only enough to mount maybe half of the included light channels. I'm having to drill and screw directly through the channels to mount the remainder. I'm displeased about this. If it weren't for the annoyance of insufficient mounting clips, I'd rate these channels a solid 5 stars (because I can make my own alignment dowels).

Aluminum v-channel LED light strip with fogged cover works

The v-channels are uniform and consistent dimensionally. Available in several lengths and finishes. The slots for the plastic fogged covers and the covers themselves are consistent as well. The plastic covers are quite difficult to snap into the channel though. They need to be pressed into the top of the channel but not slid into the slots on the channel. I found that once the channels and corner pieces were fitted to the mounting clips with the LED strips securely adhered, it helped with the 6 ft long sections to apply crosswise short strips of blue tape to initially line the covers up along one edge of the channel. Then starting at one end press along the edges and work towards the other end exerting enough pressure as you slide your thumb along until you can hear the cover snap in as you go along as you remove the tape .It can be pretty tiresome if you are working with your arms above your head along the edge of the ceiling. (Which I did for a full 48 feet of cover) . I practiced with a short piece of channel and a fogged plastic cover in my lap until I was able to hear the distinctive sound it makes as it snaps into place. It was well worth the effort as the results of the uniform slightly neon look was what I was looking at as opposed to bare exported LED lights.

A couple pro tips

I'm actually not a pro, but I can give you some tips:

1) Order an extra pack of the mounting brackets. These come with 2 per length, and a few of mine I mounted with 3... since they're 3' long. Also, you can cut the aluminum channels real easy with a saw... so if you're doing some length customzing (like cutting one in half to make a corner) you'll want a few extra. So it's worth it to just order the extra brackets. I think another 20 mounts was like $9

2) The diffusers are a bit of a trick to snap in, and it takes some strong fingers... but you'll get the hang of it. I basically set one side, and then just kind of squish and pull the other side away from the channel it sets in... and it sort of snaps in. If you try to squish it inward towards the channel, it's really hard to flex. So it seems weird, but try to pull the second side straight out from the channel with your finger tips, and it works pretty good. Tricky though. That whole sliding thumb along the side shit they show in the picture doesn't seem to work at all.

3) The end caps with the hole in it are worthless. None of the LED connectors fit through the hole, the wire does... but nothing else. So you have to cut a side out or something and slide the wires through works if you need to. I mostly didn't use the caps.

Overall, they are pretty nice and work great. Just a couple tricks to mounting. Get more mounts. :)

Bought these to put LED light strips up in a bedroom. Seemed a neat solution. Once they were up they looked great.

However, they aren’t the easiest to put up! I used and angle grinder to cut the channels for the corners of the room and a bench grinder to smooth the cut edge. This saved a lot of time over using a hacksaw which I found difficult due to the shape of the channel.

Used a hacksaw to cut the plastic cover no problem.

The issue came with putting the plastic cover on the channel. Bend it in at one end to get it started and then run your finger along to click it in place. Ended up with cuts on my fingers after a while due to the thin nature of the aluminium.

Terrible product. Turned what should be a simple job in to a weekend long frustration! Half of the aluminium profiles don’t accept the brittle plastic pieces so they keep falling out. Trouble
Is by the time you done out they’re mounted on your wall and your led strip is fitted to them!!! Avoid! I wish I’d spent more and bought some profile from a proper electrical wholesaler!

Die Alu-Profile sind genau, wie ich das erwartet habe. Der LED-Strip lässt sich prima einkleben.
ABER: Die Abdeckungen sind schon kaum einzupressen, wenn man das am Boden versucht.
Sind die Aluprofile erst an der Decke, ist die Montage unmöglich, da die viel zu stramm sind und nur äußerst schwer in die Profile passen.
Geht gar nicht! Also nur die Aluprofile an die Decke, ohne Abdeckungen.
Sieht zwar nicht so schön aus, aber zurückschicken will ich den Kram nach der Montage auch nicht mehr.

Vorweg: Habe schon ein anderes System verbaut. Wesentlich teurer, Zubehör musste einzeln bestellt werden und es hat mich Nerven gekostet.
Hier bekomme ich für schmales Geld ein super Produkt welches auch noch einfach zu befestigen ist.
Zu jeder Leiste werden zwei Halterungen und Schrauben geliefert. Ich habe die erste Halterung ca. 3 cm vom Anfang her unter der Decke (Panele) angeschraubt. Wer eine Schattenfuge machen möchte: TIP. Zollstock mit der Breiten Seite an die Wand drücken, Halterung an den Zollstock legen, ein wenig festschrauben, Zollstock weg, endgültig festschrauben. Dann habe ich mir die Leiste angelegt und das Ende markiert. Hier zweite Halterung
anbringen. Damit kann man die erste Leiste und die nächste Leiste jeweils zur Hälfte einclipsen. Dann in ungefäger Mitte der ersten Leiste weiteren Besfestigungsclip anbringen. Für 3 Leisten benötigt man also einen Clip mehr als vorgesehen. LED Stripes eingeklebt. Die Abdeckleiste ist ein wenig Tricky. an beliebigem Punkt oben
in die Führung einsetzen und mit dem Daumen mit etwas erhöhtem Druck and der unteren Seite der Leiste herstreifen. Es entsteht ein knarrendes Geräusch. Blende ist drin.
