Great hole saws worth every penny
Easy to use.1. Clamp tile down with a piece of wood under it.2. With drill on angle start drill at low speed and work your way around til you have a circle thru porcelain.3. Use plumbers putty to make a wall around the circle.4. Fill inside of plumbers putty with cold water.5. With drill on high speed drill all the way thru tile. Stop a few times to cool bit.6. Use a long Allen wrench to knock plug of tile out of drill.

I used a pyrex dish & sponge method when drilling through glass, you want to keep the glass cool so it doesnt overheat and crack. I used a Dremel 4300 with these bits, placed the glass on top of a sponge in a shallow pyrex dish of water. You want the water to just cover the piece of glass, do no submerge your drill/dremel, and slowly work your way through the glass don't apply too much pressure, the bit will do the work for you if you apply steady slow pressure, and the sponge will prevent you from hitting the bottom of the dish once you poke through the glass. Hope this helps. Happy drilling!!

These are great drill bits for the price. I was able to drill 6 pieces of 1/4" sea glass with no issue before the bit started to get dull. Works far better than other diamond bits I've used in the past. Would definitely buy these again. Just wish you could get a few more pieces done before the bit is no good.

I have drilled probably thousands of holes with the bits from this manufacturer. I used to buy bits from another manufacturer locally at the hardware store for around $15/bit, after I discovered these I quit using the other brand, as I can get around 50 holes per bit in hard ceramic tile with these vs around 70 holes per bit with the other brand. As you can see, the price per hole value here is astounding. I use these to install restroom partitions and accessories on commercial building projects. Now, I have seen lots of "interesting" theories on how to use these bits in the reviews; here is the key to getting long life out of these bits when drilling ceramic tile:
1. Start out slow. You will need both hands to hold the drill while you start the bit as you have to hold it at an angle against the tile to start a groove and it will want to walk away. Do not use high speed here as the bit will rapidly overheat without any water cooling. You can wet the tile and your bit before you start to help with cooling.
2. Once you get a groove started, you can now run the drill with one hand and use a spray bottle in the other to start misting it with water. While you spray the water, increase the bit speed and rotate it perpendicular to the work piece. You will now have carved a complete circle.
3. Now you can run the drill at FULL SPEED, yes in high gear with the trigger pulled. If you dont do this you will be here all day. I drill through a standard hard ceramic tile in about 20-30 seconds per hole. The key is to keep the water mist going. If the bit makes squealing sounds the tip is getting hot and dry, you need more water. It should have a smooth but raspy kind of sound as the diamonds cut with lubrication. If the end of the bit starts to get white it is getting dry, you need more water. You will have water running down the wall if you are drilling a wall, and it will start to pool on the floor. You will want to have some towels to catch the water and clean up your mess when you are done. If you don't have a puddle of water on the floor you are not using enough.
4. Another tip that will make these bits last longer is to find out how deep you can go without going all the way through the tile. Then, you can chip the middle out either with a hand tool, or with your hammer drill as you drill through the concrete or other backer behind the tile. This way you don't have to remove the core from the bit after every few holes, as they tend to get stuck in there anyways.
I can drill all the wall and floor tile for an average set of restroom partitions (around 50 5/16" holes per room) in about 15-20 minutes using this technique. I generally use around 1 bit per room. These bits both save me money and make me money as I successfully use them in a commercial business setting. Hopefully this helps anyone looking for a better technique for drilling ceramic tile.

I tried another product first that worked well but it took two bits to make one hole. I saw these were rated well but I didn't have a lot of confidence after using the other product. Wow, these worked so much better. I could do more than one hole with one bit and they worked great. I was pleasantly surprised how easy these cut through the tile. Made my job so much easier. I wish I would have tried these first. I had 5 holes to drill so I was planning two bits per hole to finish the job. I didn't even need one per hole. Having the right tool for the job makes all the difference.

I have purchased similar items at higher prices and didn't get any better results. Fact is that porcelain tile is extremely hard and will eat up ANY diamond bit fairly quickly. I buy these now expecting to get a couple of holes drilled and then throw it away. If I get any more it is a bonus.
The process requires patience. Must drill a little slow, keep water on the tile, and keep the drill bit cleaned off. For the price these bits were better than I expected. I thought I would potentially have to use multiple bits per hole. Not the case.
I gave 3 stars for longevity and for "ease of use". this is NOT an easy/quick process and the bits WILL NOT last forever however ALL the choices are like that... fact of life...

They do cut glass
Bewertet in Kanada am 22. Oktober 2024Größe: 3mmVerifizierter Kauf
After trying a couple other styles of glass cutting drill bits I found these worked the best. Remember to take your time and using LOTS of running water when drilling glass with minimal pressure. These did drill cleanly and without any chipping or cracking . Recommended A+

Actually works and saved my car!

I didn't buy these to make holes in masonry or anything like that. I used these to drill out a snapped screw tapping bit in my manifold on my car. Took a long while since I was drilling on my back and went through 3 of them but it worked when nothing else would. These things saved my car and a lot of money. They are the real deal.

Cuts through hardened steel, slowly, but surely
Bewertet in Kanada am 31. März 2023Größe: 5mmVerifizierter Kauf
So I was trying to remove a snapped off M6x12mm bolt on an older motorcycle crank case, and stupidly I initially decided to use a spiral extractor bit to try to twist it off, but of course SNAP, and the hardend steel broke off inside. Bought these in an attempt to remove it so I can drill again and re-tap, and I'm pleasantly surprised it's actually working, slowly but surely. As seen in the picture attached, at this point I've dulled one bit and have moved onto a second. The 10 piece set should be more than enough to get clear all the way through. Expect to use a few for this type of application. Oh and make sure you have something on hand to squirt water on the bit for cooling. I use distilled to lower chances of corrosion.

Do the job, but as you would expect, they don't last as long as the very expensive brands.
