Our coffee filter is designed for a wide mouth mason jar, not for a regular mouth mason jar. As a kind of widespread container, the mason jar is very convenient to make cold brew coffee.


Step-1 If this is the first time using our premium stainless steel cold brew coffee filter, please wash it with dish soap and a brush by running water firstly.	Step-2 Put the filter into a wide mouth mason jar, please keep in mind that the inner diameter of the mouth of a wide mouth mason jar is 3 inches (76 mm).	Step-3 Add coarsely ground coffee into the filter.


Step-4 Pour pure water into the jar, the recommend ration of coffee to water is 1:10.	Step-5 Put the mason jar into a refrigerator for at least 12 to 24 hours.	Step-6 Take out the filter, and enjoy your homemade cold brew coffee. Tips: Pour away the coffee grounds into a trash bin, then use running water to wash the filter, use dish soap and brush if needed.

I've been trying a few different cold brew making techniques. The first time I made it, I just mixed coffee into a jar then tried to drain it using a cheesecloth, then coffee filter. Needless to say, that was a huge mess. Most recently I've been using a french press then draining the rest in the Chemex. That way works but cleaning a french press is still a bit of work.

I'm loving this filter! I just pull it out of the jar and rinse and dump in the sink. Can't get any more simple. Also, I was concerned that the filter wouldn't be fine enough, but it's perfect. There is a tiny bit of sludge left over but I still drain it through a Chemex filter to get a nice clean cup. Even without this step, it'd be great!

I also really like that for storage I can just put it inside a mason jar, which I already have. So it doesn't really take up any extra space, which can't be said for other cold brew solutions. And you really can't beat the price!

For anyone wondering I do a 1-7 Ratio coffee to water for anywhere between 12-24 hours with a medium coarse grind. This makes a strong concentrate that you can water down and add creamer if you like.

Overall, this product is a solid design, easy to use and clean. Unfortunately, the size description is inaccurate. It indicates that this product fits 32oz and larger Mason jars, however when attempting to put it into a 32oz Mason jar, it was slightly larger than the mouth of the jar. This filter appears to be closer to a 34oz rather than 32oz.

While this is a solid built product, I unfortunately must give it a poor rating due to this sizing issue.

*Update* This filter does properly fit a standard 64oz Mason jar.

I bought this to infuse stronger herbal tea, not coffee. My tea ball didn't hold as much herbs as I wanted.

I looked at many similar products, and this one seemed more solid in the picture than some. Still, you never know what you get until you get it! At the time of my purchase, there wasn't much feedback. Fortunately, this was just as pictured, and I'm very pleased with the quality.

This holds lots of herbs. This is well constructed with thick mesh(?), and easy to clean. I will definitely buy another when my tea production increases this summer!

Very easy to use. Pop this filter into a 32 oz mason jar, add 1/2 cup ground coffee and fill with water. Do a quick stir and put the lid on, put it in the fridge for around 12 hours.
I like that it is reusable, unlike paper filters and much easier to clean than a cloth bag.

I bought this to make infused water without even thinking about making my cold brew coffee with it! But when I recently ran out of the paper filters I usually use for the coffee and looked for an alternative, there it was. A duh moment! The cold brew was already brewed in a half gallon glass milk bottle so I had to carefully pour it through the filter into a bowl and then back into the milk bottle using a funnel. It will be so much easier next time! It doesn't retain any odor or taste of coffee when making fruit infused water either.

Bitter coffee is no longer a problem. Cold brew is the way to go. All you need is a wide mouth quart canning jar and lid with this filter. Add a cup of course ground coffee inside the filter in the jar. Add unheated fresh water and fill to about an inch from the top. Soak over night or up to 24 hours on the counter. ( don’t refrigerate) then stir grounds after a half an hour so all get wet. Drain when time is up. Now you have a coffee concentrate. Experiment with how strong you like it. Pour about a quarter of your coffee cup with the concentrate and finish with hot water. For me, I get around 5 tall mugs of coffee so lasts 5 days for me. The Concentrate will last a couple of weeks in the fridge. Even makes bad coffee taste great.

Then I upgraded to a "Nut Milk" mesh bag which worked well but was SUCH a pain to clean. Then I found this! When done, I dump the grinds, rinse, and throw it in the dishwasher. Total game changer. I use it in a half gallon mason jar to make coffee concentrate and have cold brew all week long.

Before we got this I was occassionally making cold brew in a Mason jar, but it wasn't fun straining the grounds out with a mesh strainer, then pouring that through paper filters...it was a whole process. Now I just dump some coffee in this, throw it in the jar, wait impatiently till the next day, dump the coffee grounds out, and that's it. Easy peasy, cold brew everyday. It even filters the little bits out, but not the oils, which makes it taste a lot better. We didn't have any leaking issues like some people had and we shook it aggressively several times. I also didn't find it hard to clean, but I did use a round bottle brush, get you one of those and you'll be all set. Best thing I've purchased in a while.
