For $145, the Glerups are not worth it.I did some research and these came up few times against some other Japanese and German slippers ....I thought that they looked sturdy, so I gave them a try.The cons:-loose fit that gets looser with usage.-no ankle support combined with loose fitting makes walking with this a bit tough. I wear 12.5 and these were slightly wider.-the wool becomes fluffy, but in their website they claim that it is normal.-slippers look beat up quick.-I took these to a shoemaker and he added a thin sheep leather sheet by the ankle to sturdy it a a bit, it made things much better. When I told him they cost $145 he said "no way...$145 !!!".The Pros:-warm.-comfortable to a certain extent.-nice look.Now my biggest beef; I sent an email to Glerups (not the seller) with a picture of the fold at the heel. It looks like poor craftsmanship where the fold was coming off (as you can see in the picture). I asked if this is normal or I got an item that has an issue.... I did not get an answer.That's bad!At this point, I do not recommend this brand....at all.Edit and Update. 10 days after my initial email, I sent another email attaching my review here on amazon. I got an answer from their CS Kim who said that the shoe was bought from a 3rd party not them and that the heel is triple stitched. She did acknowledge that they were swamped. She offered to send me a free pair which I declined. I am adding one star for finally answering, although I wish they answered sooner even to acknowledge reception of my email at least.

I don't know why I waited so long, these slippers are soooo comfy and look really nice. I was gonna go with fluffy ones because I'm all about comfort and I wasn't sure if these would be too stiff since they are wool, but they aren't! They are perfect. They definitely keep your feet warm, yet despite that, they are so comfortable that I still wear them around the house when its 85+ degrees because I just love them that much. Barefoot is no longer an option :p

Really like these. Bought them on the suggestion of Wirecutter. They are comfortable, warm and just nice. The one thing I'm planning on doing,and the reason for a star removal, is that the back by the heel is starting to come apart. This because it's top is tight enough that it takes a bit of force to get your foot in. My goal is to put a combination leather heel protector and heel pull tab on it. That will make it easier to put on and keep the excess force from shortening the lifespan of the slipper.

These slippers are very comfortable, warm, & functional. You could pretty much where them all over (maybe not in the rain or snow though). They're made of quality material & very well constructed. I love that they have the rubber sole, so I can walk down the street to the store in them, come back, and simply wipe down the sole before re-entering the house. I would say you should invest in a good lint shaver for them as they do create pilling aka fuzz balls occasionally. Again, best slippers I've ever bought. I actually just bought Sundance a pair too.

If you do t know about Glerups yet, you’re missing out. These are the best “slippers” ever… so much so that I wear them most all the time when I can get away with it. Very comfortable, very warm… Easy to brush dirt off of and water resistant.

I wear a size 8 in most shoes, and originally ordered a 38. They were a bit snug (they just fit, and I wanted more room) and were too snug with socks, so I ordered the 39. My feet move around in them a bit but I'm glad I sized up. They took a few weeks for me to break in - they felt a bit stiff at first and I considered returning them. I'm glad I didn't - after a few weeks, they fit like a glove!
