In season eight of BLUE BLOODS, Det. Danny Reagan (Donnie Wahlberg) deals with the aftermath of a tragic accident involving his family, and NY Police Commissioner Frank Reagan (Tom Selleck) clashes with the new interim mayor.
I watch very little TV, but Blue Bloods is one program that I truly enjoy. I am a conservative Christian. Lately it may seem like it supports liberal values as some have noted. I do not think that is the case. In my view what it supports is "live and let live." This is where they end up coming down at the family meal. It is not that they approve all of the behavior, but they put it in context. This was the case (again) in tonight's program (Episode 10). Jesus did not approve the behavior of the woman taken in adultery in John 8. In fact, He called her behavior sin and told her to not do it anymore. On the other hand, he didn't throw stones at her (though He could have under the Old Testament law under which all Jews lived at the time). I personally give it a "10," It is the best thing going in my opinion on secular TV.
I really enjoy this show which reveals good ethics and applauds morals and values. In light of too many of the other shows on TV these days, we applaud Blue Bloods enthusiastically. I sure wish there were more shows like this on TV.
