The label claims that Wild Friends Classic Creamy Peanut Butter is the creamiest & dreamiest peanut butter imaginable. They are probably correct about the creamiest part since it's essentially a thick liquid. This peanut butter can literally be poured out of the container which makes it a very messy choice to use for sandwiches.I have included 3 photos of a peanut butter and jelly sandwich I made last night with this stuff. All of that brown dripping down the sides of the bread is peanut butter--and that's with the plate on a completely level surface. When I actually tried to eat my peanut butter and jelly sandwich the vast majority of the peanut butter dripped out of the sandwich back down onto the plate. I also had peanut butter all over my fingers and needed to wash my hands after eating before I could touch anything.Under the circumstances, I honestly don't understand how you are expected to eat this stuff. It tastes OK but the liquidy texture makes it seem sweeter than my regular brand (Skippy Natural Creamy) even though it actually has slightly less sugar. Small children eating at home who like messy gooey food will probably love this stuff but using it for a school lunch is out unless you also plan to include a bunch of packaged hand wipes. On the other hand, this would probably be perfect for a peanut butter sundae if you like that sort of thing. In terms of nutritional value the calories, saturated fat, sodium, fiber and sugar in Wild Friends is virtually identical to Skippy Natural Creamy. The Wild Friends brand emphasizes that it has No Palm Oil on the front label while the Skippy does have Palm Oil--possibly the Palm Oil is what helps to make the Skippy Natural thicker. The ingredients for Wild Friends Peanut Butter are listed as Roasted Peanuts and Sea Salt while the Skippy Natural lists its ingredients as Roasted Peanuts, Sugar, Palm Oil, and Salt. That definitely makes it sound like the Wild Friends is more basic and natural but if you compare the nutrition labels of each brand they have the exact same amount of fat, Wild Friends has 95mg of sodium compared with 150mg for Skippy Natural and Wild Friends has 2g of sugar compared with 3g for Skippy Natural. The nutritional breakdown is similar enough the only conclusion I can come to is that Skippy Natural is probably being a little more honest in its listing of ingredients.I only use peanut butter for sandwiches and for me Wild Friends is a terrible choice since it's too creamy to actually stay inside the bread but people who are more imaginative and inventive in their use of peanut butter (or who have small children that like to make a mess) will probably enjoy this way more than me.
This is my all time favorite peanut butter. None of the crap that many others have, and soooooo creamy. How do they get it so smooth??? So many natural nut butters have the creamy stuff on top, then it’s harder and settles on the bottom. No matter how much you stir it’s not creamy and dreamy like this.
The absolute best peanut butter there is besides making your own. Creamy, good taste, great ingredients. Highly recommend giving this a try along with their other flavors.
This is the best peanut-butter ever! Here is why I love it: (1) it's all natural - just 2 ingredient (peanuts and sea salt), (2) it's super smooth and creamy unlike other brands that are more gritty, and (3) it's easy to stir. My kids won't eat any other brand of peanut butter now. We buy the 3-pack on Amazon now and go through the jars pretty quickly. Highly recommend!
I was getting this for a while because I love that they don’t use palm oil, but there is soooo much salt in this. When you near the bottom of the jar you literally get mouthfuls of just salt. It’s gross. I’ve never had another peanut butter do this. I went through 6 jars (3 bulk packs) and I won’t be getting more.
This is pretty much my second-favorite peanut butter, and that's saying something. Very smooth and very cleanly peanutty flavor with just the right touch of salt and no sugar. I loved it. As an FYI and note for comparison, Trader Joe's unblanched creamy is my number one fave, but it's not as convenient to buy.
I'm not sure from reading the labels that this is in fact, organic, but it's ceratinly a good try at natural. Tasty and actually reasonable in three bottles. It's hard to stir up the oil on the top (which is where it should be) when you get it because the plastic jars are thin and not very rigid, and the small jar is filled to the top. Great flavor and all gone. Good protein for me with brown rice cakes. I read glowing reports. But there are still other better brands out there--maybe at not as reasonable a price.
My wife and I love this Classic Peanut Butter, by far it beats the competition. Creamy and runny yet there's nothing but peanut and salt in this. No other brand we have tried tastes like this, its really something else. Our local supermarket ran out of this weeks ago so we ended up ordering online here to restock!
