A Very Satisfactory Cover for Amazon's Latest Kindle Large-Screen 7" Oasis

I chose this case after reading lots of reviews. I've had it for a couple of years now, and it has been the perfect case for my Kindle. It fits it perfectly, feels good in my hands, and looks great. It's also looks brand new and has held up well.
I highly recommend this case for Kindle Oasis.
The only downside is the weight the case. It adds some bulk to the Kindle, so it's a bit heavier than non-leather cases. But, it fits well, is easy to take out and put back in, and helps hold the Kindle, which is a little "slippery" due to its construction (aluminum vs. the rubber backing of the first Oasis.) Overall, I would definitely recommend this case - it comes in several different colors, so you can choose! I'm quite happy with mine.
Unfortunately, Amazon not being perfect, they didn't do such a good job with their cover for the latest Kindle. It received poor reviews from the beginning, with complaints regarding the cover material, and most significantly because the cover didn't stay securely attached to the Kindle. It relied upon magnets to stay in place, and they simply weren't strong enough. I didn't have quite the same degree of dissatisfaction with my Amazon cover as some users did, but I had to admit that it fell off occasionally, and this detracted from my comfort level in using the new larger Kindle.
Before too long, Amazon withdrew it's own cover from sale, and today the only cover that is sold alongside the Kindle as an option is this one made by CaseBot. I decided to order one myself, and after using it I wish that it had been available when the new Kindle was first introduced.
This cover fits securely to the new Oasis - the bottom of the case fits over the entire body of the Kindle, and there is no concern that it will fall off accidentally. It looks good, and it wakes the Oasis up when the cover is opened.
There are a couple of things about this cover that cause me to give it 4-stars rather than 5-stars. It is bulky and it is considerably thicker than the Amazon cover, with some padding incorporated in the cover that does make it soft to hold and probably adds to the protection it provides. And since it fully encloses the Kindle, the 'hump' on the back of the Kindle is even more pronounced (the Amazon cover doesn't go over the 'hump' and as a result the profile of the back of the new Oasis is flat when Amazon's cover is used. This is probably not a show-stopper for most who will purchase the new 7" Oasis, since the larger size is already something you will need to adapt to in using it, but this cover does make a large device even more bulky.
This case also does not fold to support the Oasis for reading - this is one feature of the Amazon cover that was nice, even though it did not fold and support the Oasis quite as well as the trusty Origami cover for my Kindle Voyage which is still my most used Kindle for reading while eating or sitting at a table.
The Amazon product description states that this cover is made from leather, however the packaging that the cover comes in does not state material used. My opinion is that the Amazon description is misleading in this respect. It is probably one of those leather-like materials, sometimes referred to as PU-leather. Long term durability will need to be evaluated, and I will add to this review to report on how my cover wears after I've used it for a longer period of time.
The newest Kindle Oasis is still Amazon's finest Kindle, for those who can afford the high price. The large display, faster processor, greater storage capacity and waterproof features are all a step beyond any of the other Kindle models. This new CaseBot case makes the Oasis more comfortable to use, and I'm glad that I purchased it.
I've included some photos of this cover installed on my Oasis, as well as comparison photos with the Amazon cover. The color difference makes this CaseBot cover look much richer although the quality of the material is significantly lower than the leather used for the Amazon cover.
