FAQ :How to download software for my iLink400 ?

Brief Guide

1.Install update client.Download the update client from our website or from the CD comes in the product package.And install it.
2.Creat a Vident ID.Create your Vident ID either on the update client iScanzilla or our website.
3.Register the scanner.Register your scan tool with the update client iScanzilla.
4.Connect the TF card with computer.Remove the TF card from the tool and connect with a windows computer through the card reader provided.
5.Download software.Log in iScanzilla to download all available software onto the TF card.

Best Inexpensive Scanner for GM Powertrain/ABS/SIR

King of the Inexpensive Scanners!!

This is a review of the GM functions on the latest download of the GM update. Tested on 2001 Blazer 4x4 (J1850 VPW), 2004 Avalanche 4x4 (J1850 VPW), 2006 G6 GTP (CANBUS). What is available depends on the vehicle it is hooked up to (this is a very good thing). PIDs appear to be adequately filtered.

For Avalanche had to enter vehicle manually. This scanner has ABS Brake Bleed, Injector Testing, CASE Relearn (crank sensor relearn) and reads Cam Sensor Retard. And this is just barely scratching the surface. I scrolled through the Powertrain PIDs for the three vehicles and all the pertinent enhanced GM ones seem to be there. Reads and clears codes for individual modules like ABS, SIR, Powertrain, BCM, HVAC, etc. Also has some PIDs for various modules and some bidirectional controls. However found nothing for TCCM (4WD) module. It did have most modules (ABS, Transmission, Entertainment, SIR, Powertrain, etc) for the G6 and did find an error code with my radio (which does have a problem). Don't know how this would work on 2013+, but as I understand up to 2012 CANBUS should be pretty much the same.

Functionality will depend on what you are hooking this up to, but on the GM it looks like they give you way more than most $500 software packages - so five stars from me!! Cheaply made in China - but for the money...…………… this is a must have if you are serious.

UPDATE: Updated the scanner last night and now temperatures seem to be working properly, raising from 3 stars to 4.

Pros: The product is cheap and does do what it says it does. Will alow you to control all the sensors and lights on the vehicle if you have the add on for that manufacturer.
Cons: slightly glitchy, also the temperature and pressure measurements are no where near accurate. Not sure why. I updated the product via the computer. I think I will be keeping the product due to its functionality and price. But there is minor issues which are kind of annoying. But compared to the price of a name brand scanner I still think it's an alright purchase.

for what I need to use it for it works well. tool is easy to update. I dumped the software for GM into the tool. was easy to do. the sard reader that comes with the tool is a piece of crap I have my own micro sd to USB adaptor that is much better then the one in the kit with the scanner. I have used it a few times. I wish it had a broader reach of abs/sir trans and ecm data it's hit or miss whet it will read and not the same on every vehicle.

It does what it says, but tends to freeze up on me occasionally. Data display sections are borderline unusable due to excessive lag and freezing. I use it for VIN relearns on GM TNR navigation radios from pre-2007 Escalades, Denali trucks, envoys, etc. which is a little glitchy (it won't recognize the radio unless I go into the traction control module then exit and go back to VIN relearn on nav radio.)

The menu listings when vehicle is loaded sorta reminds me of a bootleg GM Tech II.

It does pretty much what it says it will do however it will not program the VIN into the PCM on GM products, so if replacing PCM you will still need a mechanic or someone with the right tool, it will set cam retard on GM products and is all around a very helpful tool
