I use this in an echoey bedroom for sound dampening by mounting it in the wall with nails/pins hammered in. It works very well for eliminating high frequency reflections and is excellent value for the money compared to acoustic panels.
(Remember that these wont “sound proof” your home—they’ll decrease echo more than anything and will make music and voices sound better—but they do help with decreasing *some* transmission through drywall. Other features in your room or other dampening devices will help even out the sound in the room. If you put this on only one wall, it might make the sound uneven unless you dampen another wall or two).
I love the star pattern, but my room is already dark, so I simply threw a white tapestry over it to brighten things up. When I move, I’ll use it for wrapping furniture and suspect it’ll be durable. Very happy with this purchase for sound dampening.
