Product description
Ever since you were a child, you dreamed of flying amongst other racers with your dragon, and so, when the chance came to become one, you leaped for it. But, things are not always so simple.
"Dragon Racer" is a 420,000 word interactive fantasy novel by Tierra Wright, where your choices control the story. It's entirely text-based—without graphics or sound effects—and fueled by the vast, unstoppable power of your imagination.
Will you show all of those who doubt you that you have what it takes to ride with the greatest dragon racers? Will you form bonds with them, stronger than you ever thought possible, or will you use those around you to simply push your own agenda?

To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.
This was a decent read. The concept and overall theme is intriguing and fun but the writing style can be difficult to follow at times. Many of the options are unclear and leave areas of the story feeling disjointed and confusing. Character relationships are difficult to improve and skills seem to matter little in choice decisions. Romance interactions are also disjointed and sparse with little change to the overall story. A good time killer but not quite an epic read.
I love this so much, I've played 5+ times and still haven't read everything!!! However, it ends on a massive cliffhanger, which is why I'm only giving 4 stars. Please continue this wonderful story!
Read the free trial; liked it enough to spend real money to purchase the whole story. I say the whole story because the description for it does not state that it is the first in a duology/trilogy/series. Unfortunately, it's not the whole thing as it ends stating to continue the adventure in the next "book" but then doesn't tell you the title nor provides a link to the second book. Had this been advertised properly as not being a complete story, I would either not have gotten it or wouldn't be irritated that I paid for a complete story but didn't receive one. If there isn't a second app/game to this one, with this one updated to have a link at the end to the next app/game/part of the story. AND I feel the next app(s) for this story should be free/included with the purchase of this one. (Since this one was not properly described as only being part of the story.) I'm seriously debating contacting Amazon about this false advertising and demand they provide me a refund of the money I paid for the coins to purchase this app/game under a false pretense.
I truly and honestly can't describe how good this is. I went into it with the expectation that it would be some sort of "How to train your dragon" copycat. I couldn't have been any more wrong. The story and world are very fleshed out as well as the characters! The story is also rather long, took me a good hour and half to complete, if not 2 hours. I thoroughly enjoyed the story, even more so with what my expectations were. This may just be one of the best interactive story games yet! The dialog is mostly realistic, I feel like every character has been fleshed out greatly depending on how much time you spend getting to know them. The ending was quite a twist and left me eager for the second part! I feel that the entire story as a whole was wonderfully fleshed out and I rather enjoyed the character creation part as well.
Just so I have some form of critique, I do think there could have been more to the creation of your dragon companion at the beginning. Similar to how you did with your main character. Other than that I really have no other complaints. This was amazing to read and definitely worth the money in my book!
Even if the story concepts are not your cup of tea, I at least suggest checking out a bit of the game. With that, I end this review. I hope others find it as great of a read as I did.
This is an amazing Choice story. The story itself is very good and well thought out, and the options are so vast that you would likely need to "play" it at least a dozen times with completely different choices to get the entire story. Each time I've reread this (so far 4) with different choices hasn't been just a rehash of the story with just a couple of things changed, but rather a completely new, rich perspective with different situations that round-out this beautiful world. There are dozens of mysteries, but you can only figure out one in each playthrough, and even within those mysteries you can still make different choices and learn more about the world. I love that each playthrough feels unique. Obviously, I'm completely enamored with this "game". I'd like to thank the author for creating it and beg for a sequel as soon as possible. I read TONS of these things, sorting out what's worth my time and money and what isn't-- this book exceeded any expectations that I had and is definitely worth it. Please, please hurry up with a sequel, and thank you!
You name your character and your dragon. Then you follow the storyline. It is just a book, no visuals or sound. You can choose many things. It is a very good book and keeps a good pace. Very unique.
If I'm being completely honest, I wasn't expecting as much as this story have to me. It felt like a book to me, not an app on the app store and I enjoyed that. The storyline is great, all the characters are different and unique in their own way, and to an extent you shape how the story goes.
