What should I expect to receive with my Amazon Renewed purchase and in what condition?

My husband bought these headphones for me today on 5/28/20 as a random surprise and yea lol this was exactly how they came. This isn’t “renewe” at all. Lol they’re literally right outta somebody’s ears and put into a Apple box... this is unacceptable for gently used/ refurbished. This is absolutely disgusting. Please save your money, and look at the reviews. We’re all saying the same exact thing. We’ll be getting our money back and buying brand new ones for a few extra dollars. ITS WORTH IT!

My fiancé surprised me with AirPods for my birthday. I was so excited to try them out..! I had to drive across town to pick them up at FedEx, ok fine whatever. The packing slip with the AirPods says UPS? Somethings up. Should have been warning #1. They are dirty, scratched, and with ear wax. Gross! I was really excited about them, so I decided to look past it (“Renewed”) and just disinfect them, clean them and move on. Ok, now I’m pissed... I couldn’t even try them out! They are completely dead AND the right AirPod doesn’t work!!! AMAZON, HELLO! Inactivate this seller, have you seen the reviews on here?? Unacceptable. Refund please.
