Milky Chance's style is so distinct and so unique, I have wondered if it'd eventually seem formulaic and I'd get tired of it. After three albums, I'm starting to wonder why I don't hear more musicians trying to copy what these guys are doing.
I don't want to get too carried away trying to describe the details, I'm mainly writing this because I can't believe an album this good has no reviews on Amazon. For me, "Oh Mama" and "The Game" are first-listen standouts, and after a couple listens, other songs are starting to grow on me, much as it was with their other two albums. "Scarlet Paintings" is a gem of songwriting that I didn't fully appreciate until maybe the 3rd listen, for instance.
It sounds and feels like the other Milky Chance albums, just wider in scope and deeper in influence. The artistic growth is pretty obvious. This album is really, really good.
