This is a great little emergency charger and can just about fully charge an iPhone 11 when using a wired connection. I carry a larger 30,000mAh battery for traveling but I wanted something that I could use when I did not have a power cord and that was easier to carry. This little charger is very portable, small and light enough to fit into a pocket. It has one USB-C port that is used for both input (charging the unit) and output (charging your phone or device). I was able to charge 2 devices at the same time, with one plugged into the USB port and the other on the magnetic charging. The magnet hold is Ok, I would not feel comfortable lifting the phone without supporting the battery, but it holds when not being moved around much (you need a case designed for magnet charging, mine was not so I needed to take it off).
Now for some numbers:
Charging the unit
- Unit received with 53% charge
- It took about 2 hours to fully charge to 100%
- From 0%, it took just under 3 hours to fully charge to 100%.
Charging a phone (iPhone 11) using USB port
- It took the phone from 18% to 38% in 15 min., charger went down to 80%
- So 20% of the charger capacity added 20% to phone
Charging a phone (iPhone 11) using wireless charging
- It took the phone from 38% to 49% in 15 min. (charger down to 70%)
- 20 more minutes took the phone to 60% (charger to 56%)
- So it took 35 min. to charge the phone 22%
The magnet charging is clearly not as fast or efficient (but you already knew that). Overall, this does exactly what I wanted it to as an emergency power pack. I would not use it for everyday use and it is a bit expensive for its capacity.
