      This was ordered for use in a motorhome. The GPS device uses a cigarette lighter male end. The tow brake readout utilizes the same type of connector. The motorhome has one female cigarette lighter port. The GPS device will not charge effectively using a USB port. The tow brake will work through a USB connector. Problem solved. Product arrived promptly and the quality was adeqate.

      I needed to power something that was 12V from USB type C instead of a 12V lighter style port for indoor use instead of the car. Unfortunately, that device was power hungry and I had to get a beefier version. It worked, but had a transformer and components (a power brick) all included. This item is just the adapter, so you need your own PD USB type C wall plug. The quality is good and it may work for you, but it did not work for my application. Just make sure you have the right type of wall plug or this may not work.

      The PD standard doesn't require 12V to be available, rather 15V. 12V is an option that is not common. So this adapter will most likely provide 15V to whatever you plug in. I tried to charge a marine VHF radio and the overvoltage was not tolerated, the charge light did not come on. Beware what you plug in.
