I read the free preview of this book and was completely hooked--it was so much fun to read, I couldn't put it down. The characters are sympathetic and lovable, and there is enough plot to cushion the very entertaining sex scenes. I appreciated the heads up that there was going to be a happy ending--it made the book much more friendly and comforting. Also, spoiler alert--thanks for not having Landon break the cup! I was really worried about that. I haven't read a romance novel in YEARS because I got tired of boring plots and characters--this one was fresh and fun and lighthearted and well-written. Thanks for a very entertaining and enjoyable read!

I loved how you brought out details about the COVID virus in book without really dwelling too harshly on them. Landon was such a romantic and thoughtful man even if he could get cranky at times! But, hey, what man isn't? About the only thing that didn't trip my love for these two, was Emma being up and down all the time, belaboring the fact of being there to only write her book, to almost hurting his feelings. I feel the heroine should be a little more strong personality. In the end, though, she turned out great!

The h is a writer for health magazines and a fanatic for herbs. The H is a dermatologist. The two meet when she rents a room from his sister. He and his sister inherited the house from their parents. He wants to sell the house. She wants to keep the house for sentimental reasons. He thinks it’s a waste to have an empty house. He is on vacation to destress from work and has taken up residence in one of the rooms. She needs a place to work on her book. He is drawn to her as soon as he sees her. The two wind up spending a lot of time together because of the pandemic. The pandemic occurs shortly after they meet. They fall for each other while they are quarantined together.

Likes: The characters are very likable. Two point of views. The backdrop to the story was certainly different.

No likes: the story moved kind of slow. They couldn’t do too much when quarantined except to have sex. There was a little too much sex There was not much background on the characters.. We are still experiencing the covid problem so I didn’t want to read about it. I like to read to get away from reality.
