You are only limited by your imagination!
Decided to get a couple of these M5Stack devices to see what all the excitement was all about from the Maker's community... And after downloading one of the nice looking free CO2 monitoring applications (you do have to get the M5Stack CO2 sensor), I now see what the excitement is all about. It has a magnetic back that allows you to place it on Magnetic whiteboards (See attached video). It has several components already built in... Touch screen, mic, speaker, battery, notification LEDs on the side, SD slot, etc. all in the nice little professional looking package. So it looks like you are only limited by your imagination since you can program it yourself. Someone programed a good looking CO2 monitor (Please see the attached video). Anyway I am pleased with the purchase. I wonder if I can make something for Halloween or Comic Con with it! Beginning able to see the CO2 levels around my desk helps me know when I need to open up a window before I start getting drowsy! LOL!

This is an awesome product with some very powerful applications. Very easy to program. Amazon support is lame on the support of this product and will refer you to the manufacturer. A few issues that could be improved upon, but overall, 4 stars.

fabulous item with better battery life... there are two different apps for the 705 qrp providing essential info that expands on the rig's interface... for example, i can now watch the spectrum waterfall while adjusting swr during tuning operation of my magnetic loop while operatin /p.. the one in the video is the SWR meter, but soft buttons on the touch panel let me choose power, signal, or swr... it is the swr (or power) displays that are important here, as the spectrum scope and waterfall on the rig are more expansive

you can also control the meter via a web browser, as the device acquires an ip address if you enable it in the code prior to the build and upload/flashing

this is a great accessory, so kudos to the developer for his generosity in releasing this code to the ham world!

Really great product and program. I did the AWS tutorials and had a lot of fun trying things out and learned a ton. Having a portable Alexa was really cool!

I used the device without connecting to AWS and it works like you’d expect. The neopixel LEDS are great for different notifications and creating light shows. I needed the extra ports. I’m building a little application to automate my green house!

I purchased one and used it for two minutes after charging it. When I returned to it a couple of days later, it refused to power on. Consequently, I sent it back in exchange for a replacement. Upon receiving the new unit, I noticed that it appeared to be covered in some sort of residue. So, I returned it once again for another exchange. Unfortunately, the latest unit also malfunctioned, just like the first one, but this time it happened after the refund policy had expired. Never again. Very disappointed.

Purchased this to explore an idea/project. Never tinkered with building IoT applications, so this will an exciting and new learning experience for me. The guide on the AWS site is detailed and easy to follow. Everything out of the box looks great and I especially like the touch panel controller that provides the coordinates for the touch input.

I spent 4 days off and on trying to load a program. It appeared that the device could not connect with the pc. After one return, two different computers, Arduino and uiflow, three different cables it started to work with Arduino ide. Successfully loaded two example programs and one for the voltmeter from the web. The last had to be modified for the core2 which was a matter of removing two lines. Programming the device requires a lot of file manipulations just to set up so this will be challenging for a person with little experience. The web will get you there eventually.

The M5Stack products are high quality and inexpensive. Amazon sells a few of those products like the CORE2 but you’ll have to buy the others directly from the M5Stack web site (China). These are not difficult to learn to program but are not plug-and-play. I recommend this product to anyone wanting to learn to code or experiment with electronics and processors. Be aware that you’ll have to work a bit to find documentation and example code online.
