If all this is not enough action to have them earning their detective pay. A dead frozen body is discovered in a storage bin, of a girl that just left town on the train. Max realizes that he will have to find this girl, who was identified as Madison. His job becomes a little easier when she is picked up for vagrancy in a town not too far away. Max brings her back, only to discover that she is kidnapped that night. Realizing that he has just seen the tip of the iceberg, he starts trying to find her and figure out what the complete story is.
This book has enough action to keep you turning pages to find out what happens next.
The Rohm Daily news journalist , Wendy Turner gets caught dead center in the fray of crime.
A group of Freemason city leaders are up to no good, bringing them closer to a "*lucrative business venture." [*author quote] The entire town continues to need Max's style of police work, though he doubts his abilities to see how much the city of Rohm needs him. I highly recommend this third saga in the Rohm series, as Mr. Maxwell fleshes out the wonder of its characters and a small town in his quite capable style.
This is the third book in the Max Harmon series, another page burner. Max And Paige are proving to be a good team as they work together to solve the latest crimes. I do wish Max would leave some of his old life behind, though. You’ll see what I mean as you read this latest story. I can hardly wait for book #4.
