This book asks parents and teachers to reimagine how to teach and learn with their children. Instead of for them (and sometimes against everyone’s best interests.)
It provides easy to follow steps for how to neutralize negative programs with compassion, joy, and love.
In the words of The Mind Aware creator, Dana Wilde, "But the best benefit of training my brain is that I know how to stay emotionally aligned. I know how to be authentically, deeply happy. Happiness is something that all of us have at our fingertips. We generate happiness by the thoughts we think, and each of us can become focused, proactive thinkers."
This book provides a plethora of practices, techniques, and evidence of how to train your own brain for health, happiness, success, and creativity. The authors have also provided a myriad of styles to play with and model in your relationships, in your parenting, in your teaching, and businesses. Once you begin to see the results for yourself, you will know how to model and practice with your children, students, and each other. Calm Parents Confident Kids: How to Use Brain Training to Raise Happy Resilient Children is a 21st century essential reference manual for creating peace in your hearts, peace in the home, and more peace on earth.

"We are honored these fifteen authors have come together to recognize the Peace Academy of the Sciences and Arts and dedicate their proceeds to help us grow in our sphere of impact. Calm Parents, Confident Kids is perfectly aligned with Peace Academy's beliefs about children.
It uses our knowledge about brain science to guide us through powerful strategies that are conducive to parents' well-being and the healthy social-emotional development of their children. With easy-to-read examples and fun relatable stories, these authors ultimately show us how to teach children the skills to responsibly control what they have control of while navigating the ups and downs of life. Thank you for creating your work in honor of the Peace Academy!"

"As an author, healer, teacher, actor, and pro-active activist in all things focused on love, I highly recommend the book Calm Parents Confident Kids: How to Use Brain Training to Raise Happy Resilient Children as another love song to the heroic human journey of living, loving, and creating consciously. An easy, simple read that has you knowing how to love yourself more and so, with loving tenderness and fierce compassion, how to model for the children in your care, how natural self-love really is. How deserving they are of knowing their own love. How much the world cherishes, honors, and supports them in their lives to live freely and create consciously. And, how important it is to develop an inner dialogue that promotes creativity, justice, innovation, and vibrant health. When you take charge of the thoughts you think, from the inside out, you become the Captain of your Ship, the author of a destiny filled with the love that You. Always. Are. And that my friends, is a wonderful place to begin a day, every day, in tune, mindful, aware, and honest about what is your own "normal state" and how magnificent life can be when you create your world
from your truest, happiest "angel of your higher nature".
Dee Wallace, actor & author "Born: Giving Birth to a New You" www.iamdeewallace.com

"This is a must-read for any parent of young kids, and for anyone who wants to get a better understanding of how powerful thoughts can be.
Knowing that one has a choice in what one chooses to think and focus on, and that a parent can help teach their child this precious life lesson is invaluable. Any parent would benefit from the learnings from this book as they navigate the wonderful yet unpredictable (and sometimes exhausting) adventure of parenthood. It is amazing - and sometimes scary - to realize how one's childhood greatly influences one's future development. This book has so many different and varied insights - from modelling to mantras - how to make the parenting journey that
much more enjoyable, and successful."

The authors creatively share how they shifted from misguided beliefs and fears to feeling happy, strong and able to have a joyous, fulfilling life, starting with themselves first. In the process, these parents demonstrated for their kids, how to heal and love themselves.
Thanks to the sincere authors, I found many gifts of wisdom I want to use – where the word, ‘parent’ or ‘adult’ could be exchanged with ‘kid’ and they’d still hold true. Here’s just a few:
• Go into any interaction expecting a good outcome and watch how kids rise to the occasion.
• Support your kid to feel good first, then take action. Do something playful-fun to get the ‘feel good vibes’ flowing before tackling homework or a challenging project.
• Tell your kids how much they mean to you and how much you love them – daily!
• Read to your kids at night and ask them what their greatest challenge was and wrap up with what the best part of their day was.
Oh compassion- right if I want to teach my kids that I need to practice that myself- including on me!
This is filled with practical examples as well as ways some philosophical constructs. great reminders and nudges to begin again or try something new. It all starts with you!

What more beautiful gift to give another but awareness of their own perfection, emotionality, psychology, physiology and power!? AND ability to be happy!? AND to pass this onto our children?
I believe, no, I know, we are born to be happy. Thanks for putting the power and happiness back in our own hands (and brains and bodies!)
The humanity, care and love expressed here and turned into helpful, hopeful, practical, reminders, guidance, support and tools are a superb contribution to us as a society finding its way to love and affirmation. If we are to create (or continue to create) enriching lives for ourselves, families and society, its principals like these that light the way.
And yes, i know this book is written for parents.- and it iS an articulate, easy to read and apply, diverse, kind guide for this .
And, i personally am restored, enlivened, comforted and reminded of all the good, love, support, beauty, creativity and kindness in the world, and my and others capacity for this.
To the authors- if you women do nothing else in your lives (and i know this is impossible) you have gifted an immense gift. Thanks from me, our children and future generations.

I highly recommend this timely book for everyone wanting to discover simple straightforward approaches to working on your selves – as adults – and using what you’ve learned to help you “raise happy, resilient children.”

Thank you thank you amazing authors.
