This is a simple product. It's job is to split a single hdmi display and display it on two monitors. It does it very well and the cord is very strong and long enough. Well worth the price. It had a power plug but I didn't need it to drive 2 27" displays.

I ordered this because I have a chrome laptop I wanted to hook up to two other screens. This works perfectly for data management. However, the cable is so short so its an awkward setup. The box itself heats up easily so I disconnected after a couple hours of use. The picture quality is good but since the input was in an awkward length it kept loosening and I had to adjust every 15-20 mins. I got annoyed of having to adjust. It does exactly what its meant to and for the price its not too bad.

Sending 4k signal for security cameras to an 85” display in kitchen as well as a 55” in bedroom and doesn’t even require the supplied power cable. It is advertised that sound does not pass through cables, but for my application it does for some reason. I have to turn volume up to hear it adequately but I’m definitely receiving the sound input from caneras. Update noticed a humming sound coming out of the speaker for the security cameras and after a bit of troubleshooting, I figured out that if I plugged the attached, Boost wire to the splitter and plug it into a phone charger. It cut the humming sound out. Just a bit of info in case someone else may have the same problem

I'm splitting my Xbox between a 1080p and 4k display... It works great for that. However, I almost always turn my Xbox on with my Xbox controller which turns my TV on (anynet), so with this splitter, that initial signal is missing from the feed once the line is split. So know it's a total inconvenience if you're used to always doing that.

Update: does not send out 4k if connected to 1080p. It will opt for the smaller display size. Downscaling isn't a option of the device so someone said you need a "smart splitter"... These run a little more and isn't really worth it for what I'm doing.. So for now.. I have to manually unplug which ever display I am not using which basically turns it into a switch.. But not even in a smart way.. So if similar situation, a switch might work if using 2 different display sizes. And don't intend on viewing both displays at once.

I purchased this HDMI splitter to connect to my sons PS5 so he could play his games in both the living room and in his bedroom. His room is below my living room and his controllers work perfect. As long as he takes a controller to his room he can turn on and use the PS with no issues. This is really nice to have instead of moving the PS5 or purchasing a second one. We tried the remote play feature but was to finicky. With this switch there is no interaction needed it just works.
