I bought this to take in the form of tea, for candida overgrowth. I've had Pau d'arco before by other brands, (capsule by Natures Path. Tea by Buddha tea, and Tea by Traditional medicine), So im pretty excited to try this, I hope it yields good results.

I bought this to help with a candida infection as prescription medicines have provided very little relief. They also have bad side effects. It seems to be helping with the fungal infection. I have been able to reduce my prescription medication to once daily for the first time in 4 years. I brew it in a small saucepan on the stove for approximately 20 minutes then strain. It actually does not taste bad at all. I have also been pleased to notice that my arthritic nodules on my hands have reduced dramatically in the month that I have been drinking the tea. I usually drink the tea in the AM & PM. I take it in capsule form twice during the day. My mother starting drinking it a week after I did. She has also noticed a decrease in her arthritic nodules. It seems to be helping with my overall joint pain. I have not noticed any side effects at all. This brand seems to be of good quality. I don't have anything to compare it to as this is my first time purchasing this product. It is certainly more cost effective than the tea bags.

Bought this tea to use in growing barley as it was said by someone to eliminate mold growth. That does not work but the tea smelled wonderful so I had to try it. I had read that it had great value for the immune system. I have a chronic sinus condition that requires that I stay loaded up on antihistamines. I thought maybe the tea would help. I guess it has since I have only taken my antihistamine twice since starting on the tea a few weeks ago.

It also gives me a tremendous amount of energy. Not like caffeine. Not buzzy at all. I just feel really good and want to get up and go. Other reviewers had said that it tastes a little like bourbon or vanilla. It tastes a little like both. It has a deep, woody flavor that I really like.

Only important thing that I do not like for a large bag like this is that it does not come with a resealable air tight bag, so I had to invest in some big mason jars to store it after opening the bag it came in.

I brew 3 tbs in 4 cups of water for 30 min. Let is cool for an hour then transfer to Mason jars and keep it in the fridge. I've worked up to drinking about 4 oz a day (started with a tbs a day) sipping it throughout the day. I could tell within 24 hrs it was working based off the die off symptoms I was having (headaches, very sleepy, and rashes) all of which started improving within a couple days. It has a woody natural taste to it that isn't exactly amazing, but it's not super off putting either. Very glad I purchased this and it will last me quite awhile.

I make a lot of herbal teas, and Pau D'arco Bark is a great addition to my daily routine. I just added a tablespoon to my signature ice tea. 10 black tea bags, hand full of hibiscus flowers, 1 tablespoon each dehydrated Cara Cara orange peels, honeysuckle, rose pedal, leaves and hips, goldenrod.. all dehydrated and powder. Steeped in 180°f or just before boiling water until cool, mix in sweetener and top off a 1 gallon tea jug refrigerator over night before using to marry all the favorite, I add lemon juice, elderberry and homemade apple cider vinegar to a quart jar top adjust sweeten and top off with herbal ice tea and enjoy throughout the day. I don't drink any manufacture drinks, due to my T2 diabetes and IBD/UC.
