Pixel Perfect Puzzles
Purchase options and add-ons
Each picture starts out completely blank. Use the number clues in each row and column to discover the hidden image. Each clue tells you where to draw a run of consecutive black squares. The clues in a row or column appear in the same order as the runs in the puzzle grid, with at least one empty square between each run. Start with the largest clues first, and then cross out squares that you know should be empty. This will allow you to narrow down the possibilities and logically determine the remaining squares.
Pixel Perfect Puzzles contains 50 puzzles. The challenges can be tough, but there are 3 hints available on each puzzle to help you out if you get stuck. The game can even find and erase errors at any time. Time, hints used, and errors are tracked for each puzzle. Can you discover every picture?
If you like using logic to solve puzzles, you will love Pixel Perfect Puzzles!

- Reviewed in the United States on August 20, 2011This game looked interesting and it was free. When I first started playing it, I thought it was a bit silly, until I started to really get the hang of it. Then I was just sorry there were hardly any puzzles.
I'm not crazy about the fact that you can't always use logic to find your way through the puzzle - which you should always be able to do. Being forced to use the hints is unacceptable. No matter the difficulty, the puzzles should have been created to be solved with logic only, not hints or guesses. I say this only because since downloading this game I've erased my records and done the puzzles over a second time attempting to do so without any hints or errors and there are a few that no matter how you do it or how long you look at it, you either have to guess or get a hint.
Anyway, the game really is a logic-lover's dream. As long as you look (except for a few exceptions as mentioned above) you can usually figure your way through the puzzle. I did finish them all in the first couple of days and was so disappointed that there were no other puzzles! That's my biggest complaint, so few puzzles. I really wish there were updates with more puzzles. I would actually pay to be able to download more puzzles. I did pay for another game that is similar to this one, but it is really, really bad in comparison.
Oh yeah, because I've purchased this other came, I've come to realize that the controls for this one are really superior. Pushing the buttons on the keyboard to fill a cell is just stupid. Using the < > buttons is so much better. Also, being able to fill multiple squares while holding down one button, is awesome.
It may take a little time to get into, but this is really the best game I've come across in a while. Unfortunately, I can't find anything similar for my phone, or I would use it there too!
Please come out with more puzzles for this one!! I will gladly pay for them.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 4, 2011As an avid game player on many platforms, this little puzzle game for the Kindle is stimulating and fun. Anyone who enjoys games that challenge you to deduce outcomes or plan a stragedy, this game is for you.
I've found it similar to playing cards, crosswords, chess and tic tac toe all in one game.
It's great to see Amazon creating games and the like to enhance the use of your Kindle when you don't feel like being engrossed in reading.
Initally, the instruction set is a little hard to understand as the operation of the game on the Kindle is a bit kitchy at first, but once you understand the premise, it's fun and addictive.
If you've ever done a crossword puzzle, a jumble, watched Wheel of Fortune or played Spades or Hearts, Chess, Backgammon or Black Jack, then you possess the skills needed for this game.
It's premise of using X's to close out places where you can't place pixels is the key to the game for me.
Those having a little trouble getting started: Just place *some* pixels in areas you know they have to go...for instance on a 10 grid puzzle, with 7 as a clue for a particular row/column, you know the center 4 of the 7 pixels overlap, no matter where the 7 could go, if you count off all the possible places the 7 pixels can go...kind of the Venn Diagram method of playing. This will help you identify where some of the corresponding grid row/column are. You can also you [Menu][Erase Errors] as a way to track moves/placements you've made to check your progress, and eventually learn to ween yourself off that crutch.
I hope that Amazon continues to provide this type or game or additional puzzle add-ons for this game (free would be nice as a reward for being Kindle owners!).
Great game, great fun, stimulates brain health!
Cheers!
- Reviewed in the United States on July 6, 2011I just downloaded and played the game. Your goal is to make a picture from numerical clues.
Using each number as a clue, you draw a sequence of consecutive black squares. The clues in a row or column are in the same order of black squares in the puzzle pictures. For example (2,3) on a row means there are two consecutive black squares, at least a blank square in between and three consecutive black squares on this row.
You use Next Page (>) key to fill squares and Prev Page (<) key to cross off squares with an X. To fill in many squares at a time, hold the Next Page (>) key while moving the cursor with 5-way controller. To cross off many sqares at a time, hold the Prev Page (<) key while moving the cursor. I found the key selection a bit awkward.
Starting with the largest clues is the key since it will eliminate the options available for the smaller clues. Also, make sure to mark all the blanks with an X. Marking constraints first like this is always useful in logical games.
There are 50 picture puzzles in the game. Time, hints used, and errors are recorded for each puzzle so you can compete with someone else.
Some pictures are quite complex so you may need hints to continue. Three hints are available for each picture for you to use if you get stuck.
You can find errors and erase them anytime. All errors are also recorded for each puzzle.
Amazon released another free fun puzzle game. Give it a try. It is free after all.
