- Reviewed in the United States on May 30, 2013To bad others haven't taken the time to really read this book as this man gave so much to his community to only be brought down by being Falsely Accused, by greed and for others self gain. Now the children are with out such a GREAT program and they will be lost to the streets.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 17, 2012Sandusky talks about his 2nd Mile kids and his "Son" Matt, who tried a suicide attempt and was probably there for his convience. And His wife seemed in on as well. This Guy deserves the BOOK thrown at him. And Yes, I am trying to read this GARBAGE book. The only reason to get it is "Collector" value. Prepare for a heavy dose of lies.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 16, 2014The word irony has been waiting around for hundreds of years to be applied to something as appropriately as it applies to this book! A MUST-HAVE for any crime junkies library! "Touched" written by a pedophile before the bust? Come on y'all, don't get no better than that!
- Reviewed in the United States on November 7, 2019The book itself is good and gives a good view of Sandusky and his life. I do not condone his crimes but I can't give it a bad review just because of who wrote it. It is haunting to think that some of these boys could have been victims as well.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 12, 2013Not very well written or researched. Good stories though. Good Penn State history in here. Who knew the man that Jerry really was though. Hard to read at times.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 26, 2015Fascinating book!! Too bad the real story took a different turn.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 14, 2011In this book, Jerry talks about how he "touched" many vulnerable children through his wonderful foundation. Jerry always made sure the kids were showered, sometimes several times a day. He was even nice enough to advise them how the water was much warmer by him. Jerry went to extreme measures in order to ensure that all genitals were clean before exiting the shower. Jerry would take kids to ball games and offer them a place to stay. In return, Jerry only asked for small favors. Penn St. officials in particular hold Jerry in the highest regard, as he was a fixture on campus. Penn St. alum knew how important a jerry shower ritual was and respectfully never said a word about Jerry's showers. He was indeed a well respected man on campus, as was Joe "Lips Sealed" Paterno. If you have ever been touched by Jerry, your life will never be the same. Sometimes, we just all need a good back crack and a pounding in the shower. Jerry was always available to offer up these services. Currently, Jerry resides in the State Pen, where he still performs the same shower rituals that made him famous. Jerry recently changed his name to "Geri" and can be seen sporting kool aid lipstick and a sock stuffed bra. To show their respect, Geri's roomates perform back crack and poundings in the shower. Many were touched by Jerry and those who were will never forget Jerry Sandusky.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 7, 2011This book touched me in more ways than I can recall. When I read "Touched: The Jerry Sandusky Story," I felt as if Jerry's masculine, sculpted hands were literally reaching out and caressing my succulent, 26 year old body. The words captivated my very imagination, my soul and ... my hands.
