Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.
This is one of my top five most influential books. I got it first in mid-80s and have used up my copy. Recently bought a used, library discard of a hard cover copy.
It's central feature is a series of maps. The world map is centered on the North Pole, which illustrates world geography in a way no one else has. Any world map must deal with the distortion of flattening a curved object, and this projection throws most of it into southern oceans.
Each region is covered with seperate maps. The section on Iraq absolutely predicts the mess we are in right now.
This is a must for anyone attempting to see the world without the U.S. lenses. It physically forces one to view the world from a different perspective, and it covers all the major factors of conflict around the world.
....but I'm willing to learn, if anyone has suggestions. I first discovered this atlas when my daughter was in international studies at university. It is concise; each page contains a map of the world and a summary of how the topic is related globally. I only wish I could find a newer edition. I recommend it highly for anyone who follows the news and wants to put the puzzle pieces together -- historically, population-wise, natural resources, and influence.
