This book is considered by many one of the bibles in Hydrology.
Written by Chow in 1964, this book still manages to be relevant within the field. Chow and his coauthors took time to dissect the topics presented in here in an elegant way.
It's certainly still a great reference book that will either clear up your doubts, or point out the best references related to your question. It's important to say that this books does cover a great array of areas in Hydrology.
If you're in field, this is certainly a great book to have.
As an engineer in the hydrology/hydraulics field, this book has proven a good reference. The level of detail is perfect so that I am able to apply it on the job and rarely need to consult another reference to supplement. However, as it was written almost 30 years ago, there is no content about modern computing, so don't expect to see anything on it. Unfortunately, I was not impressed with the material quality of the book. The pages are extremely thin, the binding was a bit off.
Este livro é de facto uma bíblia para a análise hidrológica de bacias hidrográficas, fiquei muito contente com a informação contida. É uma referência bibliográfica de base para qualquer trabalho de engenharia.
