What I love about this book is its simplicity. This is the first time I really study the subject. I was really intimidated in the beginning, but it turned out to be a very enjoyable subject because of the simplicity of the book.
The ebook works just fine on my ipad but it will not downlaod onto my kindle app that is on my mac. I've tried to deliver it many times but it will revert back to saying that it is only on 1 device-- my ipad. The message I keep getting is that I need to update the app but there aren't any updates available.
I thought it was new, only to find out that the first chapter has markings and comments. So, I was a little disappointed for the cost. I wanted a new book.
It's in okay condition for a used textbook, but I hate reading it for a couple of reasons: the content seems aimed at maybe high schoolers who are embarking on research for the first time, while I am a master's student. Not the author's fault my professor assigned such a mismatched book, but I get the impression that this is marketed to college and gradschool professors in spite of it's simplicity. Also, the one I received has a strong smell. I don't want to have it out in public because I'm embarrassed by the stench. I don't do much reading in public these days thanks to covid. Still, I feel like I have to warn my family when I get this book out, in case they smell it.
This is one of the best textbook for people working on their Ph.D. or even EdD. This helps explains terminology and what to look for. Examples are superb and I wish this was a required book for me. HIGHLY recommend it,.
I'm currently in a graduate research and design course, and this book has helped me through the nuances of the course tremendously. Well-written and easy to retain.
