I thought this was a fascinating book back in 1977 when it was published. Obviously, it is out of date today. It tells of the western (I.e., US and European) national arms sales, particularly of the American defense firms such as Lockheed, Northrop, and Grumman, the British firm of Vickers, and other assorted modern aerospace companies. There are also stories of the corruption involving countries such as Iran, Japan, and Saudi Arabia.
The book also offers a short history of arms sales back in the 19th and early 20th centuries. Back then, private companies could sell battleships to prospective buyers.
