Development has been the aim of most countries during the last century. But, what is development? As the book describes, many pages have been written about it and many times has its definition been changed. Also, even the labels used to refer to countries who hasn't achieved first world standards changed in different decades. All theories are exposed by the author from an European perspective, since he's French.
