The list author says: "Here I have the 10 greatest bands, new and old, even though they're all old, listed WITH their best album for your convenience. Enjoy! If you disagree then make your own f ucking list and then let me know about it so I can see :)"
"JIM MORRISON IS GOD!!! He's an insane, sexy, genius, rock poet and you should all bow down right NOW. L.A. Woman is my favorite Doors album, but this one is so ridiculously underrated I had to put it on here. The Doors (their first album) is of equal magnificence."
"ahh yes the Beatles. This album is consistently dubbed the very best rock album to ever exist EVER ever, so.. yeah. I think they have 12 albums or thereabouts, I'd say the others to check out are Revolver, Rubber Soul, Abbey Road, and The Beatles (White Album). If you're looking for a beatle-esque modern band, look up The Redwalls."
"hokay so the Stones was the first hard rock band that was good at a time when people really liked the pop sound that The Beatles and other bands were producing... anyway... Exile on Main Street is actually probably their best, but I dunno Sticky Fingers is amazing too... and Let It Bleed... and Tattoo You... and Beggar's Banquet..."
"Eric Clapton is the LORD of blues. His best songs were with Cream, hence The Cream of Clapton. I'm more of an album gal, but check out this guy's discography and you'll see why I go the compilation route with this one. Oh and random note: check out The Yardbirds if you ever get a chance."
"hahaja he's not actually one of my favorites, but my homeslice Steve is present and would murder me if I didn't put Bobby up here, which many many more intelligent people before me would say he'd rank even higher, so he's ON the list! This album really is pure brilliance, along with Blonde on Blonde and Blood on the Tracks."
"Psychedelic rock is my faaaavorite, so Grace Slick and the Great Society to me is like love and wine and sex and everything good rolled up into one beautiful sound. I normally don't like female singers, but Slick's voice is pure gold. They don't have much stuff... as in, they just have this one CD :( so check out the more accomplished Jefferson Airplane too."
"Oh goshhh I only get one more?! It's gonna have to be... MOODY BLUES! Most people think I'm insane on this one, but these guys are just sooo bluesy it gives me the shivers, I love em. This album really displays their unique style. I dunno about this list. The Grateful Dead should probably be on here, and David Bowie, and Patti Smith, and BOC sldfjhg;adbnkmzn"
