"I think this is one of Kallmaker's best books. I will agree with some reviewers that the romance develops rather suddenly between a 20-something and a 50+something. The younger woman suddenly needs a place after a bad break up. She and her landlady become friends, then lovers. The most frustrating part of the novel is you never read the older woman's thoughts, just the younger one's."
"In this anthology, the story "Curve of Her" by Karin Kallmaker is a snapshot of Rayann and Louisa's life together after the events explored in "Touchwood." It was a welcome addition to the couple's story because it is told from Louisa's perspective (which the original book purposefully avoided) and is very erotic."
"A 45-ish workaholic who's been burned is actively pursued by a 20something woman who has lots of secrets. Can the younger woman convince the object of her affection that she is real and can love last? This book was very satisfying to me because it gave you lots of closure at the end. We get the rest of the story. So far, I think this is Herring's best book."
"A 25-year-old woman has had a crush on her mother's best friend since she was a teenager. The heart of the book is how they overcome their differences to stay together. I wish the book had been longer because I thought the characters had more to say and do."
"A 50 year old archeologist whose dedicated her life to looking for the lost Amazon tribe must now contend with a 34-year-old archeologist, who is known as a straight player. They are forced together by the older woman's benefactor who is financing an important project dig and who is also the father of the younger woman. Sparks fly and slowly they fall in love. (This is now a trilogy.)"
"The romance builds slowly between 19- and 38-year-old where you can definitely see the generation gap, but there is also some common ground and Fulton uses that to spring board into a plausible relationship. The sex scenes are sensual and, as you might expect, a little fumbling, but sweet nonetheless."
"I wish this book had been longer. The sex scenes that Fulton creates are some of the most sensual ones I've ever read. There's just too few of them. This is a story about 32-year-old Grace's physical seduction of Dawn and then 22-year-old Dawn's soulful seduction of Grace."
"This book is about a 50-something woman who falls for a much younger one, both with secrets that can drive them apart. I have to admit that I never finished reading it. The author's style of writing is very literary and I found the prose distracting."
