". . a fantastic book. author suggested using 'electric pink' cordyline on pg 135. i used matching succulents as a 'bouquet' and placed 'em by my entry way next to a palm. looks wonderful. i couldn't find the graceful sedum sieboldii shown on pg 64 but i'm going to keep looking. succulents as indoor house plants or as table center pieces in whimsical containers are my next projects."
". . an excellent book. i used the purple combination on page 122 to put pots by my entry way. my front door never looked classier or more welcoming. pg 160 also gave me the idea to mix cordyline with lantanas. I put them in a coco hanging basket perennial combination, four-in-a-row. very airy and very dressy."
". . an excellent book. pg 11 gave me the idea to plant lily of the nile in a barrel. I sprinkled lantanas in front. the author helped me to break out of my 'ground only' mentality -- to plant my favorites in containers. i'm using his suggestions for window boxes next. enjoy."
". . this book lists over 150 of the most common landscaping and container plants available in CA, one per page. Most of the plants are shown in settings with other varieties. This is a great reference for taking w/you to the nursery or home improvement center."
".. an amazingly fantastic work. other books have just a few pages on window boxes. this pub has 176 pgs. there are strategies for turning just about any container into a window box, for indoors & out, and for all 4 seasons. also a great book for container gardening. this is an invaluable reference for displaying flowers near windows or elevated off-of-the-ground. enjoy."
". . a very good book. the author uses wire baskets lined w/ sphagnum moss for a very open, natural look. Nice combinations. I started off using coco liners and shockingly discovered that the coco disintegrates when wet. How dumb. I now line them w/ plastic. If you have wire frame hanging baskets w/no liners, this is the book to get."
". . an outstanding book. really gets into the nuts-and-bolts. pg 53 showed me the hardware needed to allow my hanging pots to rotate. pgs 42-52 have step-by-step instructions how to plant, water, pinch and replace plants in containers, which can be trickier. nice."
". . an excellent book. beautiful photos and numerous combinations. landscaped examples shown, but easily adaptable to containers. i've found that it's easiest to pick a color scheme and a plant that you like -- and then substitute as available at your nursery or home improvement center."
". . an excellent book. many great ideas. showed me how to rotate lavender indoors & out, and how to use artificial light indoors. I'm also growing ornamental grasses -- as decoration -- and for my cats to eat. my next project? an indoor herb garden. cool."
