The list author says: "Sometimes it is hard to figure out the order of the 2 interesecting series that F. Paul Wilson wrote - the Adversary Cycle and Repair Man Jack.
The first time I read an F. Paul Wilson book was when I borrowed it from the library many years ago. I enjoyed the book so much that I looked in the front to see what other books were available - that's when I discovered that there was an entire series.
Since reading that first book, I have been tracking down and reading both the Adversary Cycle and the Repair Man Jack books - one title intersects between series. Though the list of Adversary books is short in comparison to the huge collecton of Repair Man Jack books, the Adversary (or Otherness) is mentioned in most of the Repair Man Jack books.
Do you need to read them in order? Maybe not, but it might enhance your understanding the characters."
"To recap, this is the 1st book in the Repair Man Jack series - this version is an updated version of the book (with some more recent technology - i.e. an iPod - added to lend some authenticity). I've read both the first and this version and enjoyed both equally, so I don't believe you need to read one or the other, just read the first one you can get your hands on."
"7th Repair Man Jack book. This is the first one I read, the one that made me look for all the other books. Jack goes to Florida to help his father and his neighbors with a truly otherworldly problem. The Adversary is mentioned in this book."
