The list author says: "Many readers ask about new fantasy series, new authors, new heroines in the fantasy genre, etc. This list is intended to bring attention to "newer" fantasy novels that folks might not have had a chance to stumble onto yet. I'll be adding more as I remember good recent reads and as I get time to make my way through the TBR pile."
"I'm a huge Goodkind fan. The middle books in the overall series kinda drug for me, but I still enjoyed them. (I enjoyed the first three immensely.) To keep with the "newer" concept of this list, I'm recommending the Chainfire Trilogy, with the caveat that the first three books of this series were just fabulous. Fabulous."
"This book takes a little while to read; the protagonist tends to wander as much as the author's writing, but it's a good story with a few plot ideas to keep the reader interested in what's going on. I have a full review in my reviews here on Amazon."
"Jamieson Wolf brings a horror, fantasy, supernatural daytime-TV satire to gruesome and hysterical life in this fast-moving novel. It was constructed in the style of Dickens; serialized for a subscribing audience. Warning: The version I read had quite a number of typos, but that had no bearing on the excellent story-telling and great plot-twisting."
"The second in Sandy Lender's Choices Trilogy is available in both hardcover and kindle, and brings even more adventure, more action, more violence, more intrigue, more plot twists, more angst...just more. There are reviews for it here on Amazon. Older YA, adult."
"Johnathon and Mina had a child, despite Johnathon's deep problem with Mina's "betrayal" with Count Charming all those years ago. Now their offspring, Quincey, wants to go into theatre and has some vampire issues to deal with. Toss in a lesbian vamp with revenge issues of her own...No one does it like the Stoker clan."
"This one's a vampire novel, so folks might classify it more paranormal than fantasy, but it's still a well-written, emotion-provoking book. Warning: Erotic scenes, blunt language. For adults and fellow Duran Duran fans."
