The list author says: "Unfortunately I find a lot of books in the IR romance genre to be seriously lacking. So I decided to start a list of what I thought were really great reads that stood apart from the others. As I continue to read more books I might add more to the list...if they are good."
"The romance isn't in your face and is very steady and realistic. The conflict more so lies within cultural differences (small-town setting with a heroine from the big city). Additional characters are well-developed even if they aren't completely fleshed out--you still get a good sense that everything comes together. I also appreciate the non-traditional HEA. This is by far one of my favorites."
"Has a HEA ending in the way is common with books under the Indigo Love Spectrum, but makes up for it with stellar characters and an amazing back story. I love the history between the two love interests."
"The heroine took some time to get adjusted to because I couldn't really relate to her, however she was well-done as was her love interest. Her manner of speaking was often times annoying, but the story was interesting enough to make me overlook it. The conflict between the heroine and her love interest was very realistically done and the ending was very satisfying."
"Not quite a romance novel since this has more to do with raising the child of your ex-fiance and your best friend. Of course, there IS romance in it. This is a great novel, but the ending is a little rushed."
