The list author says: "I have wonderful gift-givers in my life who've found things for my kids over the years that my kids have cherished, and more importantly - used! I'm forever giving gifts to others that my kids have gotten themselves and loved, and this is a list of the baby's gifts. I'll do another for the 6 year old girl in our life!"
"My baby has two of these that go everywhere with her. Those floppy soft ears are perfect for carrying. We've given two of these away as gifts and I've watched both of those babies take to them immediately. My niece was attached to hers for years. And when the dog speaks, it's singing nursery tunes or saying sweet things like, "I love you". May be annoying for some, so it can be turned off."
"I wrote a review on this. It's clever and multi-functional. It's a stuffed toy that can be used as a pillow or lovey for car rides, the caterpillar pillow is stuffed with a beautiful and supremely soft pullout blanket that can detach. And the blanket is a butterfly - get it??? And it comes with Mr. Carle's essential board book for every baby library."
"It's great to have one toy do three things to minimize the amount of kid detritus in our home. And my daughter's been using the rocker configuration since she was one. It's not perfect, but it's a great grow-with your child toy."
"This movie is beautiful and entertaining with great Scottish scenes and all sorts of foreigners with charming accents that Toot encounters in his travels to Scotland. I also recommend giving this along with Holly Hobbie's beautifully illustrated book, Toot and Puddle I'll Be Home for Christmas book. Great Christmas gifts!"
"This is captivating! It's baby crack! It's a little bizarre because I think it's a new release, but the most recent Disney character in the whole thing is Roger Rabbit. And everyone in it is in fashions and hair styles circa 1980. But it's fun and I actually bought it to introduce Disneyland to the baby to prep her for our trip there...someday..."
"Great basic. I'm not a fan of squirters or books because I always wonder if they're harboring mold since they never really dry out. These are great however, and they're another gift that grows with the child."
"I'm a fan of Lisbeth Zwerger's astonishingly beautiful illustrations. If you can find her illustrations of Oscar Wilde's allegorical children's tales like The Happy Prince or the Selfish Giant, snag them."
