The list author says: "Over the years, this list has changed quiet a bit. As new games come out, this list will change. To make it to my "Top 10" game list, I have a few requirements. For one, consideration into how much time was actually spent on the game. Craftiness of the game, fun, gameplay, visuals and general memories.
Me: I prefer PC gaming (those are my roots), but will play on consoles since that's the mainstream these days. I don't play multiplayer on consoles. I like new content, new experiences. I'm generally disgusted with rehashes, such as Black Ops, Crysis 2 and all of the blasted Guitar Heroes."
"#4 - Awesome game - and my first experience with cinematic video gaming. The visuals are the best on any console, it's incredibly funny, and the adventure feels real. You attach to the characters very easily."
"#5 - When I put the controller down after playing the campaign on this game, I felt hardcore for being a bad a solider . . . then, when I came back to reality, I felt like a pussy because I'm actually not. This game brought me in, and I spent hours on the campaign. Blows away Black Ops, MW2 is a close contender, but MW1 was a new experience."
"#7 - Mass Effect 1 was decent, but wasn't what I had expected after having such an awesome experience with KoToR. What I generally didn't care for in Mass Effect 1 was fixed in ME 2. Namely the repetitive areas, the bizarre loading screens (elevators), and the overly complex RPG aspects."
"#8 - Crysis the "game" has no substance whatsoever, but it pushed my computer to the absolute limit. It was the ultimate in graphical software and more times than not, I used it to benchmark my custom PC builds. It's a shame that this franchise has now been bastardized by the console market - as Crysis 2 for PC is simply a "port"."
"#9 - A refreshing, simple game. The puzzles are crafty, the dialog is excellent and it's easy to get into and play. With all the complex, time-consuming games out there, it's nice for a change to have something as minimalistic as Portal 2."
"#10 - One of Rockstar's finest in my opinion. I grew up playing the top-down GTAs on my PC. I actually own the iPad version, and it is the ONLY GTA game that I've fully finished. The dialog lines are hilarious, and the game is a blast."
"Honorable Mention - It's a shame EA dropped this line. This is one of my favorite sports titles of all time. This game is borderline arcade style, it's easy to play, great visuals and has plenty of style."
