The list author says: "I spent the 9 months of my pregnancy researching baby products in anticipation of my first child. I asked friends, read blogs and even scoured listmania trying to find the most essential, practical and high quality baby products available. These are my favorites..."
"The best high end stroller out there. You could pay more for a Bugaboo or the Orbit, but why when this one does everything they do. It even comes with a bassinet, as well as a rain cover and bug net. It has a huge basket that can hold up to 12 pounds. I use it for grocery shopping. Plus it's sleek and modern. Everywhere I go I get comments about how cool it is."
"I brought this to the hospital and put in my sons bassinet. He loves the running water sound, which is similar to a heartbeat or white noise. We use it every night in his crib. I can also take it in the car or stroller. Now he knows when he hears this sound that it's bedtime. I recommend the "On the Go" size for newborns as it's a better size for small babies."
"Made from Bamboo so they're softer than the original aden + anais blankets. These are great for swaddling in the hot summer months. I recommend getting one pack of the bamboo and one of the original."
"Do yourself a favor and get this now! Our baby cried for the first five days, then we used the 5 S's and suddenly we were sleeping 4-5 hours at night as was our baby and he was happy as a clam. Run, don't walk. It's a miracle worker."
"I originally purchased a small crib that would function both as a co-sleeper/bassinet and a crib for the first year. However I ended up having a c-section and this saved me from having to bend over in pain every time I picked my son up. We also used it in the first 5 months as a travel crib/bassinet. This model converts to a playpen as well."
"Some people don't think this gives an accurate temperature reading but I've loved it. Especially because we don't have central air so I know when to crank up the fan. Looks really cool too but that's just a bonus."
"My son took to these bottles immediately. No need to spend tons of money on various brands trying to find one your baby likes. Plus they don;t have a ton of parts like the Dr. Brown. They're BPA free and very reasonably priced. Highly recommend at least trying."
"Everything you need for upset tummy, colic, stuffy nose, etc. I highly recommend all the Little Remedies products. They don't have artificial flavors or colors and they never contain alcohol. You can buy products separately as you might not need everything in this kit."
"Use on top of your changing pad cover, on the couch or bed to protect surfaces when changing diapers. Great to have a few around. These organic ones are softer than the original. **But note they are actually an off white color rather than white as the picture shows."
"Some people prefer the breast friend pillow but I think the Boppy works just fine. We have two, one in the living room another in the bedroom. You can also prop baby on pillow and use for tummy time."
"Our little guy LOVED the Baby Bjorn. It allowed us to wear him while still getting stuff done around the house or taking a quick trip to the grocery store without having to take the stroller. Although it does begin to strain your back as baby grows. Great for the first 4-5 months. We got ours used from a friend."
"Perfect for when baby grows out of the Bjorn. Puts most of the weight at your hips rather than your shoulders. Can be worn on the front or back however baby must be facing in on the front position (unlike the Bjorn). Great for travel!"
"Easiest travel crib on the market to set up and take down. Weighs only 11 pounds! There's a newer version available with an insulated mattress. Expensive but worth every penny. Can be used for 3+ years."
