This is a well done documentary that brings you into the world of southern Christian church life and the criminal investigation into the burning down of these churches. It shows with honesty the different reactions to these attacks and subtly asks the question, "Is the church a building?". Of course, to some their world is rocked by the loss of their church and to others it is an opportunity to explore what or WHO they truly rely upon. For those that carried out these crimes there is a bitterness toward the Christian community and, justified or not, a chance for all to review the motives behind church and faith.

Captivating documentary

Interesting documentary about serial arsons of some churches in Texas. It allows viewers to make their own conclusions as there is no narrative; just soundbytes from those impacted and involved. This TV news magazine style doc kept my attention (it has a 20/20 or 48 hours feel). My only complaint is that the arsonists themselves were given interviews in this film. I don't think they deserve a voice, and interviewing them probably further engrained their irrational anti-social beliefs. Many sociopaths who do these kinds of crimes think they're going to be notorious and I don't think their identity deserves a mention by the media for just that reason.

A Forensic Files Meet Billy Graham Documentary.

I have seen a lot of movies, review a lot of film professionally, but this documentary was exceptional. I had the chance to speak to the director Theo Love and am incredibly impressed with his work. This is a kind of Forensic Files meets Billy Graham Crusade and couldn't recommend a film for churches and people of faith to think about more. I also think non persons of faith will find this movie as fascinating as I did. The story and characters involved in the story tell this story. I certainly appreciate the honesty and appropriate handling of the subject matter. It is not an underhanded attempt to convert people, nor is it a movie that ignores the reality of what happened. For me, with all of the movies I review, this was the best documentary I saw in 2014.
