DEFINITELY WORTH YOUR WATCHING TIME!!!

Pulls at your heart strings and will not let go--You'll be thinking about this one for a long time--particularly the last lines that the Director shares with you that are printed onscreen! I'm a survivor of child sexual abuse and a rape at 16 that left me clinging to life naked and bleeding in February snows in Minnesota--I'm 65 now and the cops never did anything except blame me. This whole country needs to wake up!!!

Misleading

This movie is about sexual abuse as a child but it leads one to believe that poverty, out of wedlock children and sexual abuse go hand in hand which is not true. Sexual abuse does not just happen to poor, uneducated people, it crosses all across the board. It does not just take place in the south either it can be everywhere and happen to anyone.

An Unfinished, Terrible story

Well, all I can say is if the intention of this movie was to convince you that child abuser are sick, perverted and disturbed then it makes its point because there is little left to say about this movie. The premise of the story is nothing new.. Angie is sexually abused at a young age by her mothers boyfriend. She gets no comfort from her mom who doesn't believe her so she lives out her life with it hanging around her neck. Sound familiar? You keep waiting for this story to improve but it never does. In fact the message behind this movie is if you cant hit them with a law suit then hit them in their wallet and you will live happily ever after. You are left hanging at the end without ever finding out what happened to her abuser or her. Don't waste your time watching this depressing piece of drivel.

Beauty Mark is a realistic, beautifully portrayed film that is very relevant to what is happening and has happened to woman in our society. I thoroughly enjoyed it and the performances were excellent. Kudos to Auden Thornton and to the writer and director Harris Doran. Rent or purchase this film. You will not be disappointed.

Real, ravage, and resolution

This video shows what happens to young girls that are abused at a young age, and no one believes them. Auden Thornton was a actor I have not heard about. Her Angie was portrayed in a way, that Thornton was living her personal story.
Her job would not pay the bills, her home was condemned, her mother was useless, and her child was shunned because he is bi-racial. She looked for others that had the same man abuse them, but the law was no longer in effect. Her struggle was endless.
Auden Thornton I hope to see her again, this was her roll of a life time

This movie is hard to watch because by the grace of God there goes I. 'Angie' tugged at my heartstrings. She did what she had to do to survive and provide for herself and her son. Out of I guess something she felt obligated to do, she also took care of her pretty worthless mother. This movie is extremely well acted. Is it just me or did 'Bruce ' remind anyone else of Steven Tyler? 'Angie' was terrific.

Seemed Incomplete

The film plot was troubling but realistic. However, there was no resolution at the end. Did Angie ever collect enough evidence to sue her abuser? Did she get to survivor counseling? Did she establish a stable life for her family of three? The important information in a tragic story is not the tragedy but the response, the overcoming of that tragedy, not erasing it but not letting it erase you.

Sickening.

It's not that no one will listen, it's that no one cares - enough. Why do you think it keeps happening? Rarely do these people get held accountable, and those that do only get a slap on the hand. There's this pathetic of a mother who is too lazy to work and looks for an easy way out by collecting welfare or disability, which ever one she can get, bringing men in and out of the home hoping one will want to stay, all the while exposing her young child to the dangers of these men, eventually it's bound to happen. It's sickening. Disgusting.
