Hilarie Burton plays Josie, a successful businesswoman that is trying to impress her parents with her boyfriend. However, as her parents never approve of her boyfriend, an out of the box plan emerges to get her parents to like him. She takes home an old ex-boyfriend whom her parents especially did not approve of in order to make her current boyfriend appear more favorable. Throughout the weekend her ex-boyfriend starts to bond with her family and she starts to reconnect with him and wonder if her current boyfriend is really the right fit. Paul Campbell plays the ex-boyfriend and is hilarious, he jokes with everyone and the banter between Hilarie and Paul is light and witty. There was a lot of humor, coupled with romance, making this a fun and easy watch.

I love this movie. Paul Campbell is such an expressive actor who wins your heart no matter what part he plays. I love the story line with the changes taking place in each of the people's lives. I especially like Tim Conway's part. It is so funny and such a major part of the movie. I would watch it over and over again and recommend it to others. Great movie.

I have enjoyed Hallmark movies for many years, both the romantic movies and the murder mysteries. This movie was so much fun because it was a truly hilarious comedy. It is so rare to find a clean comedy movie, let alone a romantic comedy that actually is funny. Make more like this, Hallmark!

This is the story of a girl who works at her dad's kitchenware company. She seems successful but only partially fulfilled. She is dating a successful headhunter who seem decent but kind of bland in some ways. The parents do not like him. They hatch a plan to get the parents to like him by having her bring an old boyfriend to the anniversary party who now sells driftwood sculptures by the shore. The parents are pretty straight-laced. They seem to get along but have no passion left in what they do. They go through the motions in their work and around the house.

This movie is a twist on the fake fiancee formula for Hallmark movies. It is fairly well done. There is some chemistry between the main characters and some funny scenes. The ending is predictable but some of the buildup is moderately original. It's just fresh enough to be watchable. The only small issue I have is that some of the plot points are a bit outlandish. It doesn't necessarily ruin the movie, but I could do without them.

I have always loved watching movies but it is harder and harder to find good movies, that are not filled with unnecessary garbage (cussing, nudity, etc). So I am drawn to Hallmark movies since they provide the needed entertainment without the other stuff. These movies can be hit or miss but this is one of my favorites. It is a rom-com that has more comedy then most Hallmark movies. There are a number of LOL moments for me and this is one I can watch again from time to time. As Hallmark movies I would give it 5 stars, but being honest in an overall movie comparison I give it a 4.

This is one of the cutest , most interesting and clever romantic comedies , Hallmark or anyone has made ! I can’t say how many times I’ve watched it on TV . So I decided that I really want to own it , so I can watch it anytime or when I have a friend over for a movie night ! Acting is good and plot is VERY original ! Nothing that the whole family wouldn’t enjoy !

This was fun from beginning to end. Enjoyed the relationships between the three principal couples and the cut to the chase by the female lead in her relationship with Gridley. If we haven't all had a Gridley in our lives, we've missed out!
