Mindless, stupid fun!

This is not thought provoking, or will win any awards. That's the way it should be with movies like this. I laughed and laughed with this movie, and some scenes are rather cringe-worthy - in a positive way. As a middle aged, frumpy, dumpy old dad, I can relate to the thought of "what it would be like" for a fleeting moment. Only to be brought back to the painful reality I am a middle aged, frumpy, dumpy old man.

The movie is over the top, loud, stupid, and just downright hilarious. Especially the house tour scene. I howled at the dialogue when others in my household looked at me like I was some idiot. They were not wrong.

If rude, crude, non-PC jokes is not your thing, I would avoid it. Otherwise, sit down and watch it. Not much thought is needed to enjoy.

I love both main characters they we’re funny. I really liked the scene in the house when they we’re laughing and talking about big mouth v@@@@@ers as the guests were watching and their wives, I didn’t like the scene when Owen Wilson passed out in the jacuzzi, I thought they went to far with nudity of the two men Who pulled him and out. Funny dialogue.

I let a movie age for awhile before I put a rating on it -- if it is one that I can watch over and over again and enjoy it as much as I did the first time (or occasionally even more as time goes on) then I will give it 5 stars. This is one of those movies that I could literally watch every week without getting tired of it. There is some gross out stuff in here but it is more than tempered by some sweet and mature underpinnings. Maybe you have to be an older (and married) guy or gal to fully appreciate the humor where this one treads, so it won't necessarily crack up the youngsters who haven't experienced kids, marriage, and the secret desires that are better left in the fantasy bin. Owen Wilson and Jason Sudekis make great sidekicks and the ladies are well cast and quite lovely. I could do without the full frontal male nudity which will make most men writhe uncomfortably and feel inadequate in this case -- unless it is reciprocated with a female -- but alas not to be! Super funny movie and one of my all time favorites.

I loved this movie. I'm not saying it wasnt predictable...it was. I am saying that i laughed my way through the movie. In a way, the certain lack of unpredictability made it even funnier. So, the premise is two of the guys in a group of friends are granted a one week marriage hall pass by their wives, in the hopes that they will recapture their desire to be around each other and maybe rekindle the flame. They are basically not married for one week, and stay in different cities from their wives for that week. There are no rules...if they want to find some young hottie to spend time with, they can. Of course, the guys have both been married so long that they've forgotten how to actually be single. Plus, they wrestle with conflicting emotions regarding their hall pass. I wont tell you much else except to say that the guys find themselves in a plethora of compromising and embarrassing situations. As an added bonus, this movie shows both perspectives...both guy and gal, so you can watch this with your significant other and not feel like you are doing anything wrong when you are laughing at the situations the characters find themselves in. Enjoy!

p.s. If you are easily offended, dont watch this movie. It is all about sex and relationships, cheating and not cheating, and a few penises make their way onto the screen as well.

I think everybody has those movies...you know, those go-to movies that probably haven't won an Oscar, they don't make you re-evaluate all of your convictions or view life in a different way, but when you're snowed-in for the night or you want some comfort on a Sunday afternoon because you know the weekend will soon be over...you turn to them. You can't really explain WHY you like them so much, but they make you happy and warm? This is one of those movies for me. The characters are true to their traits, it isn't sanctimonious or trying to be something it's not, and it's set in beautiful New England, so there's not a lot to NOT like about it, is there? Give this movie a chance

my husband and I haven't laughed so hard since "wanderlust" (another must see for married couples) this movie is so funny because a lot of men make the stupid threat of "maybe I should just go find me a hot blonde who will" and as women we reply"go right ahead and try to pick up on the bigboob twentysomething" just so they stop living in the fantasy world where those girls want to just have sex with a middle class lazy 30 something with children. well.. spoiler alert....in this movie the wives do let them have a "hall pass"and it is a big reality check for the men and women!

I rented this "HD" movie and it was not in HD. Also, the film lagged and buffered constantly. I thought maybe it was my internet, but other movies worked fine. I've seen the movie before and it's a great one, but this rental did not work for me.
