I’ll make this short and sweet. I grew up with this movie. I was 5 when it released in 94’ and this is nothing but nostalgic fun. It won’t win any awards but if nothing else it’s a lazy Saturday movie for all ages. Goofy characters and B-rated stunts equals an all around enjoyable time.

The evil tycoon Koga Shuko (Robert Patrick) is obsessed with finding the two halves of a talisman known as the ''Double Dragon,'' which will give him awesome mystical powers. Two teenage brothers, Jimmy (Mark Dacascos) and Billy Lee (Scott Wolf) find themselves in The way of him finding it. But one of the boys has one of the Double Dragons. Keep in mind that this is ostly a kids thing but I am a kid at heart. Scott Wolff is kind of bad becasue he is over the top. This is great and should be watched for the pure enjoyment of it.

This was a personal favorite as a child. I feel like the blu-ray is a bit pricey for this particular movie, but you can't find it anywhere else.

MVD Rewind has taken the time to really upgrade the picture and audio quality here. This release has some great bonus features as well. If you liked this as a kid, and you want Double Dragon on blu-ray, I highly recommend spending the extra cash. Overall it's worth it.

I love this movie. I was afraid I would never be able to find it but I'm so glad I did. It's funny and definitely lighthearted. It's funny to see movies about the future that aren't in the future anymore to see the difference and compare. Watch it just for the laughs and to see stars like Alyssa Milano and Scott Wolf when they were young.

A post-apocalyptic society where the local law enforcement and "leadership" have a truce with the gang culture: law and order gets the daylight hours, chaos gets the night. You're not going to be blown away with the story, the styles, or even the gangs that look like mailmen, mimes, a yodeler, Angus Young and Rick James. Alysa Milano and the Power Corps will have your eyes rolling. I remember loving the beat-em-up game, like I loved Super Mario, but this film, like the Super Mario film, really took the extremes of style, bleached hair, and societal degradation to heart. Just like when I was a kid though, my sons enjoyed it.

Yeah, that's a line from a character to Alyssa Milano's. This movie does absolutely nothing right. From dated humor, terrible fight choreography and costumes from a Power Rangers dumpster to the forgettable score unlikable characters and awful sets. If you were ever a fan of the gritty, violent and hardcore fighting game that gave this trash its namesake, avoid burning this into your brain.
1 star for Alyssa's costume . Not even bad enough to wrap back around to good again.

If you are a fan of double dragon the movie this is a must purchase has great extras and awesome sound and video quality a spoild 5 star highly recommended

One of my childhood favorites now on Blu Ray and it's "REGION FREE" so it will play on any Blu Ray player what more can you ask for from an imported movie! That is not available in the U.S or DVD! Great buy for the childhood nostalgic memories and or Collector of the old school!!!!
