- Enter your model number to make sure this fits.
- Included: one (1) heatsink 14 mm wide
- will drop your motor speed 10 degrees F
- Most heatsinks take too much space on the motor and block breather holes. This heatsink brings the heat our far away where it should be.
- Simply clip in place installation
- No messy wires or fans that break. Great for the wet muddy conditions that you submit your RC to.

If you add some CPU thermal paste (type that in to amazon, you'll find it under computer parts) it will increase the conductive transfer of heat to the heatsink (*translation- most effective method of heat transfer*), but it can be a bit messy and probably won't stand up well to a solid bashing session. I have NOT done this and have no empirical evidence to back up my claims, but I build computers as my other hobby, so I know that stuff is effective and the thermal paste MAY act kind of like glue and solidify the mounting position of the heatsink. The paste usually takes a couple days to fully cure and reach peak effectiveness, but as I said, it was NOT designed to stand up to impacts or vibrations and the heatsink works just fine without it, but it does tend to move around a bit- be sure to mount it so it is less likely to pop off and get lost if you're doing a bunch of jumps. Also make sure you're not covering up any of the cooling holes built into most brushed motors.
Of note- some of the other reviewers cast doubt on a heatsink's ability to dissipate heat near the source (the middle of the engine). While it is true that this will do NOTHING to alleviate the PRODUCTION of heat in the motor, it is TONS more effective at dissipating heat than NO heatsink. A single touch is all it takes to ensure that it is working- if it's hot, it's pulling heat away from the motor. If you are burning out motors, you should really consider either gearing down or switching to a lower voltage battery. Or increase your budget for motors. Since this thing is reusable and about the price of a new brushed motor, if it extends the life of a motor, I would say it's worth the investment.
It fits well, easy to snap on, though it does move around a little in rough conditions.
If you can't fit a fan type cooler on your motor, such as on 2WD Slashes where there isn't any room, this is a great alternative. Though it is a bit pricey for what you get.
