What it IS: An app with too-small videos, an instructor whose body outline you can hardly see due to the clothing, and one that necessitates constant clicking and interaction with the screen that severely interrupts the peace and meditation process often desired by users who use Yoga as a method of relaxation. They might want to change the voice heard throughout if a number of people can't understand the accent (I had slight difficulty). The exercises for pregnant women should caution them not to lie on their backs for extended periods of time and not to overstretch and perform exercises that are to rigorous -- that's a no-no!

There definitely should have been an option to play some kind of relaxing music in the background, as many folks into Yoga look forward to that. Some prefer silence, some soothing music... it should give the option to please both groups. Pocket Yoga, another app, give the user the choice to even play their own music from their music library... so if they already have the perfect CD for their workout, they can use what is already preferred and familiar to them, OR choose from the array of soothing music that fits the particular workout.

Puzzlingly, a review I saw here this morning mentioned that there were "very extensive yoga asanas, with videos, instructions, benefits and cautions along with the option to follow a daily regimen...too good." I just happen to not agree with that assertation of "benefits and cautions" if the mothers-to-be aren't forewarned properly. Mysteriously, the post is gone.

If you already have "Yoga Guru Donate," then you need to be aware that you already have THIS app ("Pro"). It's just called "Donate" elsewhere....

I love the app, but I am a little disappointed that the regimens do not run as a workout. you have to scroll through them yourself. Makes it a little difficult to zone out during your yoga workout. please fix in the near future! Other than that, great app.

For starters the video segments are too small to comfortably watch while doing the exercises. Secondly the accent of the narrator is so thick it is almost not understandable. I admit, I am a newcomer to yoga but I found even the "beginner" level poses and exercises to be somewhat advanced and difficult to do without some prior exposure to the art of yoga. The Yoga Guru Pro app that I downloaded also had the terrible habit of resetting the video to the beginning "still starting picture shot" well before the narrator was finished describing the benefits of each pose session. The narrating was limited to the supposed medical and physical benefits of each pose and NOT instructional as to how the pose should be done. Check out the Ki Gong app available on Amazon apps, it may be a collection of YouTube videos and audio portions but is enjoyably watchable and great to listen to aswell.

was excited to see a yoga free app of the day, I have taken several classes and would say I am familiar with yoga...but I found this app disappointing...the voice should be telling you how to do the pose, not the benefits of it, and yes, the videos are too small. if you want an excercise regiem, I would say try pocket yoga, which plays for a continuous amount of time, and repeats exercises and is set up more like a real class. if you want a list of poses, this app gives you that, but other than that, not the best...hey, at least it was free today

This is a great concept for an app that blends written instruction with video to help teach basic yoga moves. Unfortunately, it's not very usable. The videos are just thumbnail sized and very hard to see. The audio is poor and almost impossible at times to understand, even with an external speaker. There's no way to play routines in sequence - you have to select them one at a time which is very cumbersome if you're trying to use it while actually doing the moves.

It's worth a look if you can get it as a free app to review some basic yoga moves/poses. Otherwise, don't bother.

I think this is a great yoga app for the most part. There are a lot of great options and the menu is very easy to use. I think the regimens are great so you don't have to scroll through exercise by exercise. It gets you going on a set of yoga poses along with a timer so you know how long to hold the pose for. There are 3 regimens available to choose from or there's an option to create your own regimen be compiling the various poses you want.

You can also do one exercise at a time aside from a preset regimen. With each exercise there are written and verbal steps, benefits and cautions. There is also a video of a person doing the exercise. The person doing the exercise is wearing really baggy clothes and sometimes it's a little hard to see what exactly he's doing because of that. The person reading the instructions off has a strong accent, but I can mostly hear what she says. There is no music, which I would really prefer. I find it much easier to relax and do yoga with some relaxing music in the background.

I had hopes to look at the app to find it of value. Unfortunately there are so many issues that make it poorly done and not of much value at all. The accent of the presenter is very difficult to understand on some of the videos. You also cannot just listen to her and do the exercise as the video shows how to do it and the voice is only giving the benefits and the risks of doing the exercise.

These videos of this app are very small in size, a little over one inch square, and very hard to see. You have to hold the Kindle Fire to even see the video so how do you exercise while holding your tablet? Over 55% of the screen is not used by the app and only has a very dark yoga drawing on it. The videos should have been much larger.

You have to touch the screen to advance to the next exercise so you can't use it as a yoga routine. You constantly have to interact with the screen to touch it and view the next step and hold the Kindle Fire to even see the video.

This app is poorly designed for the Kindle fire to make use of the larger screen and high resolution display. It is not worth keeping on the tablet.
