Lipscomb Elementary is partnering with the Woodrow Wilson High School Peace Pantry to supplement meals and provide healthy snacks for students in need.
The Peace Pantry started at Woodrow Wilson high school a few years ago when a teacher noticed students were only getting meals at school. With the help of the community, the Peace Pantry was opened. It now serves many students/families from Woodrow Wilson (with many more students utilizing the Peace Pantry daily. The Peace Pantry is self sustaining and doesn't receive any assistance from any food bank or DISD. This was part of the mission of the Peace Pantry which is to remove as many barriers as possible. Not only does the community support the Peace Pantry, but the student organizations on campus fill the Peace Pantry throughout the year.
This is the only thing on our list that is not currently sold out. Since we do not know when the school will be open for deliveries, we are asking supporters to make a monetary donation, if possible, at LipscombLions.com under the Peace Pantry tab.
