As you can see from my photo, as someone else also commented, the elastic is a very dark blue, not the denim blue as in the photo. Some reviews said it was too stiff; I found it to be acceptable but not as soft as the waistband elastic I found at a craft store. Again, as others have said, the wide elastic is a good use for extending the waistband on jeans or leggings that are low rise--I have a problem with those since my pants seem to slide down, which is quite annoying. With an elastic waistband stitched to the top, I have found that the pants/leggings stay in place and feel much more comfortable. The white and black elastic from Hobby Lobby was priced at $4 whereas this was $10, so I had hoped for it to be a denim blue and match better.

The product was supposed to be 2-inch wide by 2 yards long. It isn’t even 1-inch wide (measuring tape says 7/8 inch). It was also supposed to be navy, but is a bit too brightly colored. More royal blue, than Navy.
