I was pleasantly surprised to find that the sound with the headphones is excellent too. It doesn't quite have the range of more expensive headphones, of course, but it does a solid job of delivering good sound quality for music and spoken word.
All in all, a great item, and if you can get it for $10-$12, it is a steal.
Cons: The foam over the mouthpiece comes off very easily (for cleaning, apparently.) I would prefer that it didn't fall off when I didn't intend that. However, I now hold it on whenever I shift the mic into place for talking. The manufacturer should try to make sure that it is more secure.
Update: I bought a second one of these and it doesn't seem to be holding up as well as the first one. The earpieces came off a couple of times (not too hard to snap back on, after making sure no wires were pinched.) However, I also hear a loud squeak of plastic in my right ear when I adjust the earphones on my head... somewhat jarring.
I was pleasantly surprised to find that they are very sturdy. In fact, I have rolled over the freakishly long cord a few times with my office chair and they are still going strong.
Great audio, and a microphone sensitive enough for me to whisper into and it will pick up. (Try talking to someone while the rest of the house is asleep, this headset will allow you to).
If I could possibly come up with a complaint, it's that the cord is freakishly long. Granted, I've got these hooked up to a laptop, so this probably wouldn't be an issue with a desktop.
They are just made of plastic though, so if you go around beating them up, they will probably break. But if you are treating headsets roughly enough for them to break, you probably need to get these since they are so cheap.
I seriously have no complaints. I try not to rate 5 stars unless the item is amazing, and this one is. :)
It's cheap and I knew what I was getting into, but I was at least hoping for a fully functional product.
The microphone receiver was not working properly.

This works okay, but the sound sometimes fades in and out. I also have a problem with the headphones staying securely in place. Read morePublished 1 month ago by redhotpianist
It's a cheap headset with amazing sound. I use it to play a game, and can hear better than some of these fools with $200 headsets. Read morePublished 2 months ago by Chris Projahn
I should have expected this type of quality for a $6 pair of Over-the-ear headphones and mic, however, it does work just not well. Read morePublished 2 months ago by Lucas
