Very good but not perfect...
This is the 3rd "One Touch 3" that I have purchased this year. I'm a retired engineer and did a great deal of research before buying my first phone mount. I decide on the iOttie Easy One Touch 3. In general, it is well made, works well and for the most part performs as advertised. The adjust-ability and the cell phone securing mechanism are great. However, the 1st one that I installed in my wife;s car (left photo) using the "additional" dash board mounting pad fell off the dash on a very hot day a few months later. I was never able to get the "sticky gel" mounting pad to work again. Re-wetting it per instructions just did not work. I reinstalled the phone mount directly on the dash (as shown in left pic) and it has survived for several months now. We will see if the direct mount stays put over the very hot summers (dozens of 100 degree days) we have here in the Inland Empire in California. A new law in California (effective Jan 2017) requires a dash/window mount so I'm not so concerned with removal. When the car goes, the mount goes with it. I installed the second one in my car (right photo) to achieve the maximum extension (old eyes and I wanted it close). In this configuration it vibrates (bounces up and down) a lot. Still usable but I would not mount another one this way. The installation in my wife's car (with the mount 180 degrees reversed from mine) allows for a shorter extension and does not suffer the vibration nearly as much. I'm not going to to try to remove and reverse the mount in my car because I don't have confidence in the "re-usability" of the mounting adhesives. The 3rd one that I bought for my 24 year old son, who just returned to California after college, was installed a few days ago.
