I'm using this holder in a 2011 Subaru Legacy.

Overall, this is not a bad cell phone car mount by any means. It's adjustable, stable and easy to install and re-install. The package comes with a guide so that you can hold the guide over various locations on your dash board to determine whether or not the holder will fit. Something to consider is trying to get the device to go into a more shaded area of your car. On sunny days, my phone will get very hot sitting under the blazing sun. If you are charging the phone as well, using navigation and playing music, you'll be lucky if your phone doesn't combust! (I'm kidding) But it does get hot to the point where I am wondering how much damage it's causing my phone. It has also pinched my fingers a few times when I was attached my phone to the holder. The two side arms come down at the speed of light so WATCH OUT!

PROS:
Easy to install
Easy to adjust (not recommended with you are in motion)
Stable - my phone doesn't bounce around or jitter with the car
Easy to use - just be careful of your fingers as you place your phone onto the holder.

CONS:
Bulky
Can't move it easily from car-to-car
Difficult to remove (which could also be a PRO depending on how you look at it)
Large base makes it difficult to find a great spot on your dash - probably varies with the make and model of your car

We bought 3 of these phone holders and they are working very well. They can suction cup to the window or with a special pad will go on the dashboard. We attached the 3 we bought to the dashboard of 3 different cars using that pad and none have fallen off during the summer heat. They have been on about 2 months. The pad doesn't have glue but if just super sticky and works even on a textured surface. The unit is very adjustable with rotation, telescoping, and pivoting. You just push the phone into it and it grabs. It is big enough with room to spare for a Galaxy Note 4 & 5 with one of the smaller Otterbox cases on it. It doesn't jiggle too much. It is so much better than a phone bouncing around. Why haven't you bought it yet??

Update Oct 2016: They have been in use for about 4 months. None fell off during the summer so that is great. We will see how it does in the very cold winter. The pad is very sticky and I was going remove the unit from the pad so I could do a temporary swap to another car and eventually decided it wasn't worth the effort. I also didn't want to compromise that it was very solidly attached. Some people have complained about this stickiness as a negative but that kind of seems like the point - you don't want it to come off. I could see the if you were not careful the pad could grab some of the dashboard material when being removed. Still, I think it is a great unit and am buying another for my son's car.

If you use your phone for GPS or handsfree, Easy One Touch is the one you should buy, hands down. If you like me that you remove the holder when you leave the car, then you should use the sticky pad that come with the Easy One Touch. You place the pad on the dashboard, and place Easy One Touch on the pad. this way you can remove the Easy One and leave the pad on the dashboard. when you do want to remove the pad, your dashboard will still look like nothing was on it. Just a side note, when new, the Easy One Touch sticky bottom will stick to almost anything and hard to remove. You might even have a hard time peeling off the pad from the sticky base. But be careful when removing the base sticky unit, when pulling too hard, you might accidentally pull off a piece. I would recommend always use the pad that come with the unit.

This a decent product, but it has a flaw going to the reason you would buy it in the first place:

It holds a phone snugly, and has multiple adjustments, almost too many, to assure that a phone of almost any size will fit and be held firmly where you set it. But, the means of holding the device on the dash is flawed. The configuration is a flexible rubber or poly disk that sticks to the dashboard. I have a VW Passat with a textured dash, and this disk has never come loose. the device itself has a suction device, engaged with a lever in the body of the device behind the spring loaded grasping device. To secure this device to the pad on the dash, you my place the circular pad on the device on the pad, and then press the lever down toward the dash. This can only be done if the adjusting knob in the back of the extending arm is loosened and raised, then the use secures the device in the position of his/her choice.

This mechanism seems elegant and, in reality is a bit of a Rube Goldberg set of triggering engineering that makes the device loosen up with use and repeated insertion and removal of a phone. It works for a while, and then, usually at the worst possible time, the entire device releases from its seating disk and flies, phone and device, to the seat, floor, or lap of the driver.

This has always happened while I am driving, with the phone in place, never when the car is parked, leading me to analysis that the device, which is very light plastic, is not designed for heavier phones, such as my Samsung Note 4. My phone with its cover weighs 8.9 oz. (254 g.) which might exceed the long term capacity of the holder. In fairness, the device works for several days to a week without a problem, then unpredictably the seal holding the device just fails.

I hope this review will guide those who have heavier phones, and the manufacturer to either warn the customer of the device's limitations or to re-engineer the product to work better.

I am an Uber/Lyft driver and I have a big phone (Google Pixel XL, before that Motorola Droid Turbo). I was afraid my phones wouldn't fit, but even with the cases on they do fit. This thing is really easy to use and very sturdy. I see drivers that hold their phones in their hand or use a cupholder, but an investment in something like this frees up your hands and your mind/eyes to interact with passengers. I put it right up on the dash between the radio and the steering wheel and so it's in my peripheral and visible but not in my way.

Highly recommend this to anyone who needs to view information on their phone while driving in one way or another. It's also sturdy enough that I can send the occasional text between rides without having to take the phone off.

Having been disappointed with a "in vent" phone mount for our Veloster, due to the limited size of the vents, I decided to look into something more stable. We bought the iOttie One Touch and when it arrived, I noted the that the engineering was sound for the abilities and weight I needed (Samsung S8+, Lumia 1520, Lumia 920), with nice reach extension features and a rotatable dock point. When I brought it to the car, I noticed that I did not have anyplace but over the center dash speaker guard that was flat enough to keep it solid - texturing of dash, curved designs of the limited dash, and protective treatment all conspired to make any other section of the dash unwelcoming to the base pad. This worked for a couple of days, until a particularly hot day. I tried reattaching after rinsing the base off, but it just wouldn't rebond. Instead, I left the SuperSuction cup attached to the base, and then unflipped the suction lock, and mounted the base to the windshield, then reset the lock for the suction. This has proven the best solution for a smaller sporstcar vehicle design, and gave me more versatility for the weight of the heavier phones/phablets.
I gave it a 4 star only because there were not options included in the information for mounting to the windshield, and the fact that the mount pad engineering cannot handle a hot dash and still keep its bond. In the southern climates, this is very key.

I have purchased a ton of phone mounts, and it took me considerable time to finally settle on one.
After using the iOttie One Touch it was clear this one was the winner.
I purchased two and used are applied differently between cars.
In one I have it via windshield, and the other uses the adhesive pad as the dashboard stretches too far out.
Both are amazing and people who ride in my car are amazed at how easy / sturdy the product is.
For reference, I use a Google Pixel and a Note 4 and they fit like a glove once clamped.

iOttie stands by their products 100% and I cannot stress how much I recommend this company to people.

Thank you iOttie!

P.S. I have used their products since 2013 and to this date it still works like it did since day one!!!

This could easily be a 5 star product if not for the defective phone grip.

The mounting arm, dashboard disc, and suction cup work really well. I have not had to reattach it since first mounting it and it is easy to adjust once mounted. The problem is with the grip. The large button that releases springs to grab a phone just fell off after several months of almost daily light use (see attached pic). Upon closer inspection, it appears that the plastic holding the button and springs in place broke, as has happened to others.

While the design of the arm is 5 stars, the design of the grip is lacking. I'm not sure I'd recommend it until those parts of the grip are redesigned.

I bought this car mount after moving to a new area where I knew I would need navigation help. This thing is GREAT. First I tried the "SureRide(TM) Magnetic Cell Phone Holder," and had a TERRIBLE experience (the review of which you can see here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/review/B00SGZGFBO/R3LK09FSR4AMG9?ref_=glimp_1rv_cl).

This thing is such a huge improvement to that other mount. It's much stronger and doesn't move, even though my phone is much heavier than most (I use a phone cover with a built in battery pack). it's also very adjustable so you can get the exact angle you're looking for. Before I purchased this I saw some reviews that said the screws get loose after driving, but even after checking it multiple times I've only had to (barely) tighten some of the screws once.

I had also seen some reviews that showed damage to the car from the mount being affixed to the dash. Know how to fix that? Don't mount it to the dash. Turn the mount upside down and mount it to the windshield, then you can put it on the drivers side or in the middle, depending on preference. The suction is great and hasn't come off at all, even with a cold Minnesota winter (we'll see how it handles the summer).

I love the release function of this device. Clipping the phone into this thing is almost fun. It holds so well while driving, but a simple pinch and the phone comes out. Honestly, this is a great product, and if I get a new phone that no longer fits I'll definitely be sticking with iOttie.
