I like the look, it makes the phone just enough thicker and heavier to feel like the industrial hardware that the iPhone 4/s felt like.
I've added pictures to help show what I mean
>Feels VERY solid
>Looks great! (hell, it looks like a thicker version of the phone)
>Volume and power buttons feel better than without the case
>More comfortable in hand than the naked phone
>Head phone port too small for most of my headphones.
>Charging port is ONLY BIG ENOUGH FOR STOCK LIGHTNING CABLE
>Seems to interfere with flash in low light
>Mute/Vibrate toggle is buried so far in there it can't be reached with one hand... or two
The two piece design of the case keeps the phone cushioned with rubber inside but provides a nice smooth plastic outside so it won't stick in your pocket, on surfaces, etc. All the buttons are still easily accessible with the case and it does not block the camera lens at all. The charging and headphone jacks on the bottom are also easily accessed and continue to work with the regular cables.
I was looking for a case that kept my phone stylish and pocketable, and this one delivers!
I bought this case a few months ago and was happy with it at first. However, I dropped my phone for the first time this weekend and even though it fell on the case, it still shattered my screen. If you're looking for a case that really protects the phone, this is not the one. It's slim and looks good, but isn't very practical for protection.
Two years later, I am still using the same iPhone 5 (yes, 3 years strong) and the same case! It's definitely not the most beautiful case since it has been scratched up quite a bit as mentioned before, but let me tell you... I think it has saved my phone on more than one occasion. So, I'm bumping up my review from four to five stars.
AVERTED CRISIS #1: PHONE GETS THROWN AGAINST TILE FLOOR. Don't ask. Just know that everything breaks on our tile, yet my phone, slammed down against the tile with some force, survived the fall. Not even a broken screen (it did land screen up). The only thing that happened was the screen popped up a little on the side--not noticeable unless you're looking for it. Phone works as usual. I credit the case.
AVERTED CRISIS #2: PHONE IS SUBMERGED IN TOILET WATER. I sometimes keep my phone in my back pocket, and predictably, it finally fell into the toilet as I was taking off my pants. tmi? maybe. But despite the fact that the phone was completely submerged--pre-pee, thankfully--it still works. That was several months ago. Once again, I credit the case.
Basically, I will continue to use Spigen cases as long as I am able. I'll just mod podge over any scratches--if I care enough to do so. And my phone will be a survivor.
ORIGINAL REVIEW, Jan 2014:
I've had this case for nearly a year. It's extremely durable as a case and the feel is great. It's not too bulky, though of course if you like your iphone 5 to stay as slim as possible, you don't want a case at all. Personally, I find that it's easier for me to use the phone in this case than it is without the case--more ergonomic somehow.
My husband doesn't like the fact that the case causes the volume button to be receded.Read more ›

The case has protected my phone well and works well with the iPhone design. Feels good in the hand and the rubber top and bottom have decent grip to keep it in your pocket. Read morePublished 15 hours ago by MWillow
