We have a ton of LVP (vinyl plank) flooring in our house, so a mopping robot works well for us.

I had a Bissell Spinwave mopping robot for about three years. It finally died, I got a new one, and it was a nightmare with constant phantom errors and loud beeping. Returned it. So I was ready for a change with the iRobot Braava Jet.

I am happy with this one so far. It is slower than the Bissell but it does a similar nice light mopping job. It only comes with one mopping pad, so I would recommend buying some extras.

Also, I might consider buying a dry mopping pad because you can map your house in dry mode. That might be worth doing.

Here are my likes and dislikes so far:

HIGHS
Easy set up
App works well
Runs quietly
Picks up a good amount of dirt
No loud beeping -- it shares information with a pleasant voice, such as "add water"
Impressive battery life
Easy to scrub the pads clean in the sink

LOWS
It moves slowly and takes a long time in large areas
Doesn't come with extra pads or cleaning fluid

I will be using this robot a lot, so I will update this review in the future.

My kitchen and bathroom are vinyl and laminate flooring. It does a good job of cleaning them both. My floors are much cleaner since I can regularly run this mop.

I bought this mop before I bought the vacuum a few days later and I prefer using the combo so that the vac can sweep the floor first. Otherwise if you schedule it, you need to remember to go in before it and sweep.

Pros
- You can schedule it to regularly mop
- You can customize how much liquid is sprayed - to a degree... there are three levels
- It can detect where it's messier and suggest making that a spot you can have it focus on it in the future like in front of the stove
- It has a reusable mop pad that can be thrown in the washing machine
- It cleans in a linear pattern

Cons
- You need to remove the pad after it cleans. I didn't realize that the pad wouldn't air dry while it's on the docking station. When I checked on it a day later it was still wet and starting to have an odor because it wasn't drying out fully. For those times I forget to remove the pad, I bought a pack of reusable mop pads so that I could let one dry and add a clean one for the next scheduled cleaning job.
-If your cabinets have a kick space or lip at the footing it may not be short enough to go underneath and it may get stuck. But you can set a keep out zone to avoid the areas it gets stuck... but then that area has to be manually cleaned by you... defeating the purpose. Fortunately there's only one spot where it catches the foot of the counter in the kitchen.
- So far it's only had one technical issue where it had a docking problem after having it a few weeks. It detected a cliff while it was sitting right in front of the dock and refused to pull forward so I had to manually put in back on the dock once.
- I haven't seen it clean around the docking station. It does all the floor except the space around the dock.
- It doesn't travel across thresholds like the vacuum can so in order to clean my bathroom I have to manually move it to the bathroom since I have carpeting in the living room.
- I wish I could use my own cleaning solution. It recommends not using other cleaning products other than the one recommended so that you don't risk the nozzle clogging. I saw some say they tried Mrs Meyers products which is my preferred choice but I didn't want to mess up the mop so I stuck to the one they suggested.

Although it does have its cons, many of them can be overlooked in my opinion. I love having something that does the moping for me and allows me to clean my floors more often.

I used the cleaner that was included, that seems to leave a residue though, hopefully a cleaner from a more reputable brand will not leave the residue, I left of one star for that. I just don't understand the skimping on these free supplies, just don't include anything at that point.

All in all I am happy with the purchase, see the attached photos for the before and after

I bought this item hoping it would help with cleaning the house and to complement the already in use robot vacuum that I have, but was really disappointed after several days of use seeing it did not match my expectations. here are some remarks that I think it may present what this item really is after an extended use by me of it.

1-movement and mapping: this robot uses a camera to move around and while doing so it maps the area in which is working, the issue with this is that sometimes it looks like it is lost since it relies on its camera to locate itself where it is at the time. to first map your house it could take as many as 1 run as to several (i read that one user only needed one run to map his house, but my case was all the contrary, to first map my house it took several runs, and to add new areas before that it needed several runs as well). Completing a map does not guarantee it will know how to move in the house, it has happened while cleaning that the robot does not know how to get to the next room or to return to its charging dock, and to be clear some of these times happened because it got stuck behind a close door, but my LIDAR vacuum robot has had the same situations and after i opened the door, it knew where it was and how to get where it was headed before getting stuck, and from these experiences I've found another issue, most of the times the door was closed because the robot closed the door, this happens because when this robot bumps into something instead of trying to get around what it bumped it tries to push whatever it was it bumped, so if it bumps a chair and the chair is light enough to be moved by this robot it will certainly be moved and the robot just continued mopping in that direction, same thing with doors, if it bumps a door it will certainly close it and the it will get stuck in that room and sometimes even with the full map and even if you open the door it will not know where it is and you will have to carry it to its charging dock. Last issue: it needs light to move around so either you clean while it is sunny or you will have to turn the lights on, contrary to a LIDAR robot which can operate in the dark or at night without any problem.

cleaning efficiency: this is one is the most disappointed of all the points i have about this robot, to be simple it is not as efficient as it shows on the ads or the videos where it is working, i have hard floors and after running the vacuum and then running this mopping robot the floor would look like it was smeared, so imagine the results with minimum dust on the floor and without vacuuming, it would look worse. it sure does remove large portions of mud, but the result is not as neat as advertised.

Alexa compatibility: this could be the best quality it has, but even here has some issues, like sometimes if you order via Alexa to do something else while it is cleaning another area it will not do the new request and sometimes if it is headed to it charging dock you will have to wait for it to arrive at its dock and then make a new request. the good part of this option is that because of it s compatibility with Alexa you can request room mopping, whole house mopping, favorite areas mopping without having to got to the APP all just done via Alexa commands.

Price: in consequence of all the issues that I have found, its real efficiency while mopping, the usage of a restraining technology that even looks obsolete as the usage of a cam to move around is, its inefficient movement algorithm (that you can see while it tries to solve movement problems), I think it is super overpriced and take in account I bought it at the discount price of 300 dollars, its real price is over the 400s dollars.

i want to add that most of the problems related to this robot except the ones related to mopping itself has been confirmed by other users who have the vacuum robots of this brand, which means these issues are not limited to this model.

I was hoping to get a mop that it will help complete the job performed by my vacuum robot, but what I've got did not meet my expectations, after several months of testing and using it i conclude that if i would have known what i know now before buying it i wouldn't have bought it.

Lots of used mechanisms on Ebay but one never knows if those will actually work and none allow returns. Will replace the actual wheel, as IRobot service recommended but doubt that will solve the problem as there is no slippage of the wheel when rotated by hand.

Braava is only run 3 times per week on 1800 sq ft hardwood, tile or LVP flooring. Not as durable as its mate, Roomba J7+ which is run every other day and has been doing so for 3 yrs.

I can say that my iRobot mop, which I named Wall-E, has changed my life! I am a housewife whose job is to keep the house tidy, and with 2 standard poodles that can be quite challenging. I previously used a corded mop which was terrible to log around and plug in and out in different locations. That's when I started researching the iRobot mop, which is a literal robot that cleans your floors. I purchased it right away and as soon as it came my husband and I watched in amusement the iRobot swiftly cleaning the floor. The iRobot is very easy to use, fill the water tank, insert the mop pad, turn it on, and let it clean your floors while you relax. The first few times will require a configuration of your home, which will make cleanings easy and efficient going forward. You can also download the iRobot app to schedule times you want the iRobot to clean. Overall, the iRobot mop has been the best investment I made and is one less item I have to worry about on my to-do list.

Recientemente he tenido la oportunidad de usar el iRobot Robot Trapeador Braava en mi hogar y puedo decir que me ha sorprendido gratamente. En primer lugar, debo mencionar que encontré muy fácil de usar. Simplemente lo enciendo y lo programo para que limpie la casa a mi conveniencia, ya sea de forma regular o en un horario específico. Además, gracias a la app Wi-Fi, puedo controlarlo desde mi teléfono y programarlo desde cualquier lugar, lo que me resulta muy práctico en fines de semana por ejemplo que salgo a hacer alguna compra o de visita. Otra cosa que me ha gustado mucho es que es capaz de limpiar de manera efectiva las áreas difíciles de alcanzar, como debajo de la cama o el sofá. Gracias a sus cepillos y sistema de limpieza, logra recoger toda la suciedad y el polvo, dejando mis pisos realmente limpios y libres de manchas. Pero lo que más me ha sorprendido es su capacidad para mapear mi hogar. La cámara integrada permite que el robot trapeador se adapte a cualquier diseño de casa y recorra de forma eficiente todas las habitaciones y áreas. Esto me permite ahorrar tiempo y esfuerzo, ya que no tengo que preocuparme por mover muebles o despejar el camino. Sin embargo hay una excepcion a esto, ya que es capaz de subir algunas superficies con pocos centimetros de altura. tengo uan pequena repisa a nivel de piso y en una ocacion se subio y me derribo algunos de los objectos ahi, pero una vez mapeado adecuadamente no volvio a ocurrir Además, el iRobot es muy silencioso, lo que me permite usarlo mientras estoy en casa sin molestarme. También es muy compacto y fácil de guardar, lo que me facilita su mantenimiento y almacenamiento. En general, estoy muy satisfecho con el desempeño del iRobot y lo recomendaría sin duda a otras personas. Es una herramienta muy útil para mantener la limpieza de nuestro hogar de manera eficiente y sin esfuerzo. Especialmente para departamentos y areas pequenas. Si vives solo o no te gusta trapear pues es una gran solucion para ti, te aseguro que no te va a decepcionar.

I found the robot mop to be quite effective at basic cleaning of all our uncarpeted areas. The app was easy to install on my Android phone and it was reasonably easy to get it to link up to the mop. It worked well to first have the machine map out each floor. Now I can place the mop on whichever floor I want washed and select that map from my phone. Once I click for it to start no further user intervention is needed. The soap included only fills the tank 2 times and there is just one cleaning pad so additional supplies are needed right away. Other than that, I'm completely happy with it.
